TTC After a Loss

Intro (live baby, scary birth and two losses mentioned)

***I've looked and looked for the right place to introduce myself so I hope this is ok! If I am in the wrong place, please point me in the right direction***

Hello laides. I used to post fairly regularly on Oct 2012 when I was pregnant with DS, but the past 18 months have kept me busy and now I feel like I need the support of thebump again. I know there are a lot of ladies here who have gone through unimaginable heartache, and to all of you: I am so sorry for your pain. I feel like my sadness doesn't hold a candle to most of yours but I'm just looking for a place to talk since I have no friends currently in my position.

DH and I got pregnant easily with DS and I had the picture perfect pregnancy. I had a crazy scary delivery - emergency csection and DS spent a week on a cooling bed at another hospital. (He's totally fine now). We started TTC in January, BFP and mc at  6 1/2 weeks. TTC again this month and mc at 5 weeks. Getting pregnant is so easy for me, but staying pregnant is not. I'm wondering if there are any of you who have had this happen to them after a birth or csection? I'm a little concerned that scar tissue is to blame. Any help or maybe just a hug is greatly appreciated. :)

Welcome, Sorry for your losses.  ((HUGS))

    DD's mentioned.

I don't have any advice, just want to say we are going through something similar.  I have 2 girls (7 & 3) and I have also had 2 losses in the last year.  The first was a MMC in August and the second was a CP in March.  I didn't have complicated pregnancies with my girls and I am scratching my head as well.

    *All are Welcome*

  • Welcome and I'm sorry for your losses.  This is a great board to give and receive support.

I can't help with your question but I agree with @Hawkward. It is very possible that you have some other underlying issue that did not effect your first pg. With two losses, your doctor may be willing to start RPL testing but some will make you wait until you have 3 (two is considered "bad luck").

I also want to add that I love that you have something remember BootsOrHearts  Harrison in your siggy <3.   You do have your original pg ticker (says you are 120 weeks @-) ).  Since you have not been on the Bump for awhile, changing your siggy is pretty easy now. When you are on a computer, just click on the little head (preferrences). You will see "signature settings" as an option. From there, you can easily edit your siggy. Besides removing the ticker you may want to add in your loss history.

  • ***DS pregnancy mentioned***

i'm so sorry for your losses.  i had a textbook pregnancy with DS too, nearly 5 years ago now.  i've only had one loss though.  i've heard that some doctors are willing to start RPL testing after two losses, especially if you're a little older than average, but most wait till three.

  • Thank you all for being so welcoming. I really appreciate all the advice. It is nice to know I'm not the only one going through this. My heart aches for each and every one of your losses.

My doctor wants to see me on May 1st - I have amazing doctors and I think they will agree to do RPL testing. I'll let y'all know how it goes. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!
