Just got back from a cervical check, 26w2d and have been put on "house arrest." My cervix 6 weeks ago was measuring 4.2 cm, 2 weeks ago it had shortened to 2.7cm and today it was around 2.4cm plus opening some when they put pressure on my stomach. I'm in shock, everything has been so uneventful until now.
I'm waiting for the final approval from work, the plan has been for me to work remote when this day came. So I should still have work to keep me busy 5 days a week.
How have you ladies kept from going stir crazy? Getting things done around the house? Caring for your older children (I have a 5 1/2 year old)?
On top of that we just bought a house and will be painting and moving in the coming weeks, any advice on how to have others pack and handle some of these tasks? SO isn't going to be able to handle it all on his own, he works pretty long hours; I'm feeling fortunate that I have family around for sure.
Re: Modified Bed Rest...Oh Joy!

Get people to help you as much as possible. Hope those babies stay put.
We are having friends help and I am allowed easy work for 15 min at the time with at least 1 hour rest in between so I get something done
I don't have other kids, that does help.
I have not been officially put on modified bed rest but my doctor has said I need to be off my feet as much as possible. We have not family around and I have a 3 and 6 year old I have to take care of. Its very hard because my husband works long hours as well and has an 1.5 hour commute each way. I just do the best I can and stay down as much as possible. We even put small pitchers of milk and juice on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator so the boys can kind of get things on there own. We just do the best we can. We also are in the process of moving our lease is up in June. We have rented a pod so I can sit and put things in boxes with the help of the boys and DH can move the boxes in when he gets home. Also, DH has been able to work from home 2 days a week to help keep me down so that helps a little. My house does need a really good cleaning that I wish I could do but it will need to wait. Hang in there it's really nice you have family that is close by.
