Not just you. I went into the nursery last night and unfolded then re-folded all of his clothes for no reason.
Also I have my old stuffed tiger in the nursery that I'm passing down to the baby. I may or may not have put one of the baby's outfits on him and put him in the swing. Haha wow, I'm a creep.
Awww this makes me wish we weren't team green this time around (jk...I love being team green right now), but with my DD I used to do this all the time. I loved smelling the diapers too...they smell like baby. My H used to think I was such a weirdo, cause if he couldn't find me, he'd look in her room and I'd be there re-folding or re-hanging things...or moving things around...or changing the sheets on her crib. Ha! Such funny things we do.
Sorry for the crappy layout. I bump from my phone.
The smell of Pampers newborn diapers reminds me of the time right after my sons were born. Just one whiff and I feel like I'm back at the hospital right after delivery.
I did this so much when i was pregnant the first time. I loved packing and unpacking DDs clothes from her dresser drawers and imagined dressing her in them. It's not weird at all, I just have no time to dwell on it as a STM mom. Now I'm too busy chasing my toddler around to think about it much!
I have a stuffed elephant that's about the size of a newborn. Before DD was born, I practiced cloth diapering the elephant, we strapped him into the car seat to adjust the buckles to the right spot, and I practiced swaddling the elephant. So sounds pretty normal to me
Now that we actually have little girl clothes hanging in the closet and I keep visiting them and imagining the baby who will wear them one day soon. I've also had a few times where I hold our cat like a baby, but she doesn't always cooperate
