I've clearly lived in Seattle too long. Monday, it was sunny and bright. I wore a knee length white cotton skirt and a short sleeve white cotton t-shirt. It was 50F out. I did not get a fleece or sweater.
Seriously, when the sun is shining, and it's not raining, I start bringing out the capris and short sleeve shirts.
I really want to be the type to wear dresses... maybe I should buy some? )
You should totally buy some. I am the "dress girl" at work. People are always saying things like-- but all that effort-- I just want to be comfy in jeans.
Um, hello. Dresses are one piece. Therefore no need to coordiante a top. Therefore way less effort. Also, my jersey dress is way comfier than your tight skinny jeans. Sorry to break it to you.

I just recently got into dresses finally but I need elastic kind of shorts underneath since fortunately for me, I don't have a monstrous Target thigh gap. )
I also wear capris & this year, I'm picking up some shorts that hit the knee or right above the knee that I've seen out now. I used to be so self-conscious. This year I'm being feisty.
I swear by Jockey's skimmies. They are fairly pricey-- like 20.00 each-- but so worth it.

@sandandsseas-- they are basically "seamless" boyshorts, but with a longer inseam (they hit me mid thigh). They don't really provide any shaping, but they do provide nice smoothing.
Also, as a long time sufferer of "chub rub"-- I offer you this solution:
Take stick deodorant (it has to be solid-- not the gel kind) and apply it to the insides of your thighs where they rub together. Presto- no more chafing.
"Runner's Glide" also works, but doesn't smell good.

@Helenahhandbasket In the ultimate ripoff, I am not heavy, but many years ago did lose a substantial amount of weight so I still carry loose skin and my thighs touch just enough to be irritated when it's really hot. Have you ever tried Monistat Chafing Relief Powder-Gel Skin Protectant? I know the fact that it's Monistat is a total turnoff but it's amazzzzing. It goes on cool and gel-like and turns light and powdery. In a pinch, it also works well as a face primer.

No but I might have to try it! Thanks for the tip!

I'm in the bay area so I can generally get away with the same wardrobe year round as long as I layer. I own a few pairs of shorts, but generally do skirts or dresses.
Actually, last night I went nuts on ASOS and a few other sites.

I love that dress. Dammit, I was trying not to buy anything more this week. What color did you get? Black is my go to for everything but it seems a bit heavy for summer in a maxi dress. I think I'm leaning towards khaki.
@eyenigh I did the grey, but considered the khaki. I just have a similar grey dress that is falling apart and I wanted to replace it. Sorry I made you fall off the wagon!
Re: Summer clothes
Meh.
I don't have the legs, but I wear shorts on the weekends anyway. Usually mid thigh length. Aint nobody got time for sweating.
To work, I wear lighter weight dresses and skirts.

I like jeans, but I only really wear them on dress down Fridays (so today I have on a pair) or if I am going "out" with friends.
My dresses are still more comfortable, though.

Actually, last night I went nuts on ASOS and a few other sites.
Bought this dress and a bunch of other crap from here:https://us.asos.com/ASOS-Maxi-Dress-With-Drape-Pockets/12unpm/?iid=3909022&mporgp=L0Fzb3MvQXNvcy1NYXhpLURyZXNzLVdpdGgtRHJhcGUtUG9ja2V0cy9Qcm9kLw..
These on Amazon to go with drapey tanks on hot days: https://www.amazon.com/Solilor-Galaxy-Leggings-Multicoloured-Stretch/dp/B00BKUN2NG/ref=pd_sim_a_38?ie=UTF8&refRID=1REBKNPMK9WK23K5KEJT
And these in grey because my Swedish friends are wearing them and I want to be as cool as they are: https://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-1-bucco-aviva-womens-wedge-sneakers (I'll probably look like a huge dork though.)
