  "Nerd" is a broad theme. We are doing a Star Wars themed nursery. I've found some cute decor on Etsy that will work. I'm trying to convince H to get the Wampa rug from ThinkGeek, but he thinks it will scare the kid.

  Hubby and I are also huge nerds.  We called the baby Munchkin (after the Steve Jackson game) or The Meeple until we found out she's a girl.  

  
  

  I've thought of looking for vintage board games, and framing the boards as decor for the nursery.  We also have some Firefly word art.  

  
  

  My advice is, don't copy off pinterest...just think: what do I love SO MUCH I can't wait to share it with my baby, and go from there.  :-)

  Hmmm I'm a nerd, but it's more about books than video games. (I'm a HUGE LOTR nerd).. If I was doing a theme like that.. I'd probably do Rivendell or Lothlorien... Or the female heroes of LOTR? (Arwen, Eowyn, Galadrial).. Or the elves..

  We were thinking about doing it in Star Wars. Ya know, Luke! I am your father! A play off that. But I'm really into Super Mario. Hubby plays Call of Duty and WOW, so I know I definitely have some options. It just seems overwhelming!!

  For a baby, super Mario or Star Wars are very workable...we play CoD but I think it's a lil harsh for a youngin, unless you just go for an army/camo theme? I'm a huge classic Disney fan, DH wanted something newer, fun and cartoonish, we've compromised and settled on choosing to go with Monsters Inc, I'm super excited to paint, especially the bedroom/closet doors! :-)

  You could do the old fashion mario, all the way around the room on the wall.  Picture frames could be the floating boxes, etc  The blocks could be cube shelves!

  We thought about doing DS room in Star Wars but thought the images might be too much for a baby. Plus pottery barn has the sheets for toddler size bed vs crib sheets. I figure we will wait until then. There was an awesome Zelda onesie on amazon that I was thinking of getting him.

  That is an AMAZING idea!!  I LOVE board games, and I never would have considered framing them for art.

  I wanted to do a space themed nursery with DS1, he is starting to get into planets now so when we can I am going to go nuts.
  
  Look into the Uncle Milton Moon in My Room. That's on my list. There are also projectors that will display constellations on ceilings.
  
  If you don't really want to do a space theme I highly recommend Think Geek. If I had all the money, everything in my house would come from there.

  My husband is a huge Legos fan (Star Wars Legos especially).  Our "theme" started from a print he wanted to put up in the nursery of a legos spaceman.  From there we did an space theme.  I was considering a really colorful Space Invaders theme:

  @MeggoWaffles‌ dude Munchkin is seriously one of the most epic games in history. My husband is the most backstabbing ass when he plays, lol.
