So I have not posted all month because I have been trying to clear my brain, ugh. Last month I did 100 units of Follistim cycle days 3-8. Well my doctor was on vacation when I started so when I went in on C9 I was told that I had overstimulated and had a TON I mean a TON of follicles and that yet again we had to stop the cycle. I was so worried b/c for those who don't know I am a 2X breast cancer survivor and when the nurse called me she sounded so excited and like you have estrogen levels through the roof!! Then the doctor that was there that week talk to me and was just as much excited. I was so scared. They are women and my doctor is male and he never talks in a way that scares me. You know estrogen is a scare for cancer patients. So I called my oncologist and she explained to me that high levels of estrogen over long periods of time like 10 years would be a risk but she was very comfortable with me doing the shots and having short burst of estrogen that my own body makes, so in short to chill out. I was so relieved you guys b/c I never want to meet the cancer monster again. But I have been having such bad hot flashes and the one good breast I have has been getting all the affects of being super hormonal. So I finally talked to my doctor and he said this cycle (which has not come yet) we will start with 100 units for 2 days the go down to 75 units then 50 units then I will come in to have an ultrasound. And on top of that I suffer from constant ear infections and my doctors now wants to take the tube I have in my right ear out and drill a small hole to see if the infection in far back like he thinks and then pack it. I don't know what all that means but the doctor said it sounds serious but really very minor and quick I'm just like cycle hurry up and come on so next Friday when I have my outpatient surgery on my ear I will at least be done with my injections b/c I am not sacrificing another cycle! When one thing is wrong everything is. I just want to get prengant....
