UO Thursday

Re: UO Thursday

  • I'm all but done with Facebook, so over seeing updates that someone is eating lunch at chipolte or just took a shower. Who fucking cares?
The only thing keeping me on Facebook right now is a few groups im in that I really enjoy. Other than that the rest of Facebook can burn and I wouldn't care.

I don't like 3D ultra sounds. While I think it's really cool how technology has progressed and we are able to get such great detailed images, I don't like the idea of seeing my baby's face before we get to meet for the first time. I want to see and feel that little face for the first time out in the open and see those eyes look back at me. It's really just a personal thing, I have no issues with people getting them it's just not for me. I'm just fine with the old school us technology that is enough to assess the baby and detect problems so I know things are okay.
Ditto. the babies always look so uncomfortable. y friends looked like they were holding their ears and screaming. it disturbed me.

  • I also agree with @Ladyofshallott86‌.

My UO: I can't do any sexual position in which I can't see my partner's face all the time. Doggy style ain't happening here... I'm also the girl that glances up and winks or whatever at her partner during BJ, just because I feel the need to see his face.

I hate nursing. Hate it. I don't feel a bond. The only reason I am doing it is because it is free. I am thinking of going to exclusively pumping just to not have to nurse. Bring on the flames, haha.

No flames, but full time pumping sucks. I'm the mom that catches up on TV while nursing, so maybe it can be your "me" time.

  • I think conspiracies are the stupidest things ever that are mostly sparked by paranoia. There are more than ever now regarding the economy and even if something insane were to happen there is nothing we can really do. Live your life and take it one day at a time. Don't be paranoid with things that are not proven fact that are not affecting you right now.

My UO: I don't like using the dishwasher. We have a really good one (it came with the house) but I think in the 2 years we've been here, we've used it less than a dozen times. I can't even remember the last time I used it - maybe October? September?

We try to wash our dishes right away and it works for us.
  • I don't like white shoes any time of year. Not for me or DD. I wore pink shoes on my wedding day. Love metallics as neutrals though!

My UO is that I can't stand country music, especially with dude singers since they sound all twangy and whiney and not like real men at all.

Also, sometimes I crave cheap grocery store cupcakes over the gourmet fancy kinds.

I couldn't agree more. I HATE country music. And don't even get me started on country singers rapping.

I very much dislike the "Stay at Home Momz are the Best and Do So Much!11!!!" articles.  Being a mom is hard, whether you SAH, WAH or WOTH. I don't really care to see an article about how much you value what you do every day in my newsfeed.

Totally agree and I SAH! Being a mom is hard and amazing no matter your child care situation.

I have another...I think that it is ridiculous how every freaking holiday has to do with a ton of GD gifts. It's Easter for Christ's sake (SWIDT) is it really necessary to buy a bunch of crap for your kid or someone else's kid? I got Henry a few little things for his basket but that's it. My sister and I also talked ahead of time and agreed not to buy a gift for the others kid because again...it's Easter and we spend enough money in a daily basis on stuff they need (or don't).
Yup. A friend of ours is coming over for supper Saturday, and she texted me saying she was excited to give Tumaini her Easter gift. She's bringing her three kids with her for supper, and I had no idea that there were going to be gifts involved. Tumaini is getting a sand truck because it was too cool and I wanted her to have something to play in the sand. She's getting a tiny chocolate because it's Easter, but it's litterally bite size. I wasn't expecting to buy gifts for anyone else. Am I supposed to get her kids chocolate? Toys? The two babies are under 2 (20 months and 10 month old), and the other one will get chocolate for sure, since he's older. It's Easter, not anyone's birthday or Christmas...
