Is this a "spinal headache"?

Noticing that sometimes, whether upright or laying, if my neck gets into a certain position I can feel my heartbeat behind my eyes, down my spine into my tailbone. I did have an epidural during delivery, but not sure if this is from that or if I gave myself whiplash pushing somehow. Also makes me dizzy and a touch nauseous the longer it continues. =/

Re: Is this a "spinal headache"?

  • Spinal headaches usually get much better if you lay down, so if you're feeling the pain no matter if you're upright or laying down, it's probably something else.

  • What she said^^...I had one last pregnancy...everytime I would get up to go to the bathroom I got super dizzy and the headache would hit almost instantly. Hope your feeling better soon.
  • I had one and concur with pps - spindl headaches get better when you are horizontal. The first two days after my daughter was born I thought nursing gave me splitting headaches and dizziness. Turns out pretty much the only time I was upright was when I would go down to the NICU to feed her, or sit in the chair in my room to pump.
