Follistim and/or IUI - question about folli scans

So I went in today, CD8 for my first follie scan. BTW this is my first time on follistim, doing 50IU. I only had one follie that was measurable and it was 12mm. I'm just curious if that's sort of normal?

Idk why but I expected to go in and have them say I had three eggs that were close, and probably on Friday we'd be triggering or close to it. So I left a little disappointed, I just expected more I guess but maybe my expectations were wrong?

I'm going back Friday for another scan to see where we're at. Just curious what CD most people have triggered at.

I did my first medicated cycle with follistim (75iu). I started on CD3 and stopped on CD8 and coasted. I triggered on CD10. I did my IUI on CD11. I over stimmed and ended up with a moderate case of OHSS. I had a ton of follies. Everyone responds differently. And if this is your first cycle, they are seeing how your body responds ect. I would talk to your doctor and ask him/her what he/she thinks about how you're responding. Tell them your feelings, be honest. Get answers! Good luck!

I've only cycled one time with follistim so far. I did 150 a day cd 3~8, triggered cd 9, IUI cd 10. I thought things progressed pretty quickly, though.
I think at my first monitoring appt on cd 7, my largest follie was 14mm.

Based on the low dosage they have you on it sounds like they're just trying to see how you respond. I know for me 4 days of Follistim got me from 11mm to 21mm, but it was still only one follie. Like PPs have said, everyone responds different so I wouldn't be discouraged.

I wouldn't necessarily be worried yet. They might adjust your dose, or they might just have you wait.

I took Clomid, and iI think people generally trigger a little earlier on injects anyway, but I didn't get to trigger until CD 24, and I was thinking it would be between CD 12-14. I was freaked at my first few monitoring appointments, and it was annoying and not ideal, but I ended up having one great follie and a great lining before trigger, so you could end up totally fine.

My cd8 u/s was tuesday and I had 3 follicles ranging from 10-12 I think. Today is CD10 and now I have 4 ranging from 16.5-17.5. I was on 125 iu follistim cd 6-10. This is also my 2nd IUI w/ letrozole and follistim. My first round I had two follicles using 100 iu days 5-8 & 125 iu day 9. All my IUI's have been on day 12, this cycle its day 13. So it sounds like you're on track! Good luck!

My first cycle I started on 50iu of Gonal and I ended up with only 1 mature. The did keep upping my meds that cycle but I never got more than 1 mature and prob 6 smaller ones. I think I ended the cycle on 125iu. The next month my RE started me on a higher dose of 125 iu and then kept upping me and I got 2 mature and about 8-9 more. Then my 3rd month he started me out on 200iu and kept upping me and I have 5 mature and about 13 more. I also never trigger until day 12-13.

Point is they start you off slow because they don't want to overstimulate. They will prob up your dose. I really think the first cycle is a trial and error on the dosage and how your body responds.

Ok thanks for the info. I guess it just wasn't what I expected. I should have been more prepared to see how things were going this cycle, instead of thinking things would be perfect this cycle and it would be 'the' cycle.
