Does clomid affect your CM?

I started clomid this month to prepare for my second IUI. I am on CD 12. I would usually plan to ovulate this Friday (CD14) I noticed I have no slippery EWCM that I usually have now. We are doing the IUI for MFI. Im getting nervous at my decision to take clomid. If this IUI fails we are proceeding with the variococele vein surgery for my husband. I also, started taking meds for a slow thyroid this month. Just mainly curious whats up with the CM. Ironically my annual gyno check up is today maybe she can help me too! Any advice is appreciated. 
Husband: MFI Counts 1-11mil, Mot 32%-50% Morph 2-4%
Me: slightly underactive thyroid
Married March 2013 TTC since wedding.. 
Jan 2014 Non medicated IUI-failed 
April 2014 Started Clomid cancelled IUI due to a low sample
May 2014 Variococele repair surgery

    I didn't really notice a difference in my CM while on clomid.  If you're doing an IUI, you will probably be ok regardless of your CM.  The RE inserted the catheter with the washed sperm through the cervix into the uterus.  I didn't worry about CM.

    RE appointment & testing December 2013 - February 2014= Unexplained IF, possible endometriosis
    IUI#1- March 22 (100mg clomid, 75 mg of Bravelle, Ovidrel trigger) = BFP!!!

    Clomid can decrease your CM but like @CandaceC1020‌ mentioned an IUI bypasses the need for CM

    9/2013  IUI#1 w/Clomid 100mg = over response; cycle converted to cryoocyte IVF
    IVF #1: 9/15 ER= 9 mature eggs, all eggs made it thru vitrification
    10/23 ICSI 6 fertilized; 10/28 5dt of two morulas. Hold on to me babies, stick, stick, stick!!
    11/6 BFP EDD 7/14/14 Beta #1= 18; 11/9 Beta #2= 44.8; 11/12 Beta #3= 7 = Early loss @4w6d. No frosties
    Feb 2014 Hysterscopy = no septum seen ute all clear in the inside
     IUI #1.1 4/2/14 Beta on 4/16 BFN
    Thinking about IUI #2  RE advised to try 3?????
    Natural cycle surprise BFP 8/3/14 EDD 4/11/15  beta#1(8/5/14)=35 Beta#2(8/8/14)=22  CP/Early loss@5w

    I have increased EWCM while on clomid. Even my RE has commented on how much there is when I go in for IUI but she says it's great but you don't need it with IUI. Like PP said, you bypass the cervix and the wash for the sperm sort of mimics fertile CM.

    Me (35) no known issues DH (37) MFI. TTC 21 months (24 cycles)
    Dx MFI with low to normal count, low motility, morphology 3%
    HSG normal, ultrasound and labs on me all normal. 

    1 cycle of Clomid 50mg and TI, unmonitored by OBGYN= BFN
    1 cycle of Clomid 50mg and IUI, unmonitored by OBGYN= BFN
    Started seeing an RE!!
    2 more cycles of clomid 50mg (great response), with IUI and Pregnyl trigger (4.8-8 mil good ones after wash) = all BFN
    1 cycle of clomid 50mg (3-7) followed by Follistim 75iu (7-11) + IUI = BFN
    December 2013 DH saw urologist and is taking Anastrozole, CoQ10, and L-Carnitine
    IUI #5 natural cycle (needed a med break) = BFN
    IUI #6 Follistim 75iu (CD3-10) + Pregnyl (CD11) + IUI (final count after wash 300K) = BFN
    IUI #7 Follistim 75iu (CD3-9) + Pregnyl (CD11) + IUI on 2/20 (post wash count 12.5 million)= BFN
    IUI cancelled (DH OOT) Clomid 50mg (CD3-7) 1 follicle +(not well timed) TI = BFN
    IUI #8 and last one!! Clomid 100mg (CD3-7) +OPK before US + IUI 4/17 (post wash 8.5 mil)= BFN

    Pre-IVF testing complete! SHG great and measurements taken! Labs for infectious diseases completed, FSH (5.4), TSH (1.6), Prolactin (11), AMH (2.6), Estradiol (40).

    Started BCP 5/29 and Lupron 6/11 prep for IVF #1! Started follistim 225u/day on 6/28. Monitoring on 7/2 >15 follicles measuring 11-14, E2 758. Monitoring on 7/5 all ready to go!! Great follicle sizes and lining is at 9. Tigger 7/5, ER 7/7 16R 9M 3F. Stimmed too fast in just 7 days. 7/10 3dt of 2 8-cell grade 2 & 4. 7/14 P4 >60.
    Holy crap BFP!!!
    Beta #1 (14dpo) 7/21 112 Beta #2 (16dpo) 7/23 286 a Beta #3 (18dpo) 7/25 761 Beta #4 (21dpo) 2631!!! Hold on tight little embies!!      First Ultrasound 8/7- 1 perfect little bean with a beating heart 117bpm!! EDD 3/30.
    Second ultrasound 9/2 Little bean measuring a few days ahead with a heart rate of 161!

    Clomid had quite an effect on my EWCM the first time i took it. I usually have very regular cycles with plenty of EWCM the days leading up to ovulation. The first time i took vlomid though, i was as dry as the Sahara. Lol. I think my body has adjusted to it though because I've taken clomid twice since then and haven't had a problem. Also like the other ladies said, the IUI makes mucus unnecessary. Good luck to you!

    Ok thanks for the re assurance. Very true that the IUI bypasses that step.  My gyno was poking around up there and found some. Do you think I will still ovulate on my normal day with clomid?

    I don't know about this - I triggered so we 'planned' my ovulation day.  Will your IUI cycle include a trigger?  

    Do you currently test for ovulation with temps and OPK's?

    No trigger ,cant afford it. Yes, temping and opk! I expect it to surge tomorrow. Im just worrying about everything all of a sudden. I think I need to relax and be positive. I just never realized how many aspects of the male and female body have to be in exact harmony to produce a child.

    I'm with a few of the ladies here.  I have more EWCF while on Clomid (which was very confusing for me as I heard that it would dry me out)!  But since I am proceeding with IUI now, the quality of my CF doesn't really matter.

    Me - Left salpingo-oophorectomy at 19 due to large cyst/torsion  and 2 large uterine fibroids found at age 30
    Him - Borderline low sperm count (correcting through Fertility Blend supplement)

    Married 8/20/2011
    TTC #1 since Jan 2013
    First appointment with RE 10/2013.  
    April 2014 - Clomid 100mg CD3-7.  HCG shot CD10 IUI #1 done on 4/12/14 (CD12) ....BFN
    May 2014 - Break cycle to repeat saline sonogram and re-group.  Travel to Kauai 5/7-5/12 (Yay!!)
    June 2014 - Clomid 150mg CD4-8.  HCG shot CD14.  IUI#2 done on 6/9 and 6/10 (CD15-16) w/ Prometrium suppositories during TWW .... BFN
    July 2014 - Clomid 150mg CD3-7.  Ultrasound CD12 - 4 mature follies! HCG trigger shot CD12 AM.  IUI#3 on CD13 w/ Prometrium suppositories during TWW ....BFN
    July 2014 - Repeat ultrasound done to measure size of fibroid - 8x9cm (the size of a grapefruit!) Surgery referral made.
    August 2014 - MRI done which revealed 2 fibroids: a 13x15cm fibroid as well as an 8x7cm one.  Super freak out mode over surgery plan.  OB-GYN/surgeon said surgery would most likely have to be a laparotomy (open abdominal surgery)
    August 2014 - After a 2nd opinion, plan to take Lupron x 2 months to shrink fibroids then laparoscopic/robotic myomectomy.  Surgery date is set for Nov 21st!  
    November 2014 - Robotic myomectomy done (2 large fibroids removed, mild endo found).  Benched x 3 months

    My RE says that she only does IUI for Clomid cycles, because it can dry out the CM.  I wouldn't worry about getting EWCM this cycle, you're covered with the IUI :) FX for you!

    Well the IUI is now scheduled! say a prayer my DH can make it all into that tiny cup! that has proven a problem in the past.
