Thin lining/estrogen... question

I went for my cd 8 ultrasound yesterday and my lining was around 5mm, thinner than last cycle at this time.. my RE said she would get back to me bc she may want me to start estorgen patches today. Has anyone started them so early? The last two cycles I didn't put them on until CD 10 w/ IUI day 12. I just don't want them to affect my follicle growth. (I know it's only a day earlier, but I started my meds a day later than last cycle, making it two days earlier than last time actually).

On a second note.. my RE doesn't do u/s on the day of the IUI. So for the ladies that have used these patches/pills.. how much did it increase your lining?

I've been taking letrozole and my lining is always thin. My RE has me start estrogen twice a day after stopping the letrozole.. so finish letrozole, skip a day, start estrogen and take for about 18 days. I didn't have any issues with it affecting follicle development (in the previous 3 cycles) until this last cycle. I ended up needing FSH injects because follicle development stalled, but at least my lining looked good.

calindi. I ate brazil nuts, drank pomegranate juice, did yoga focusing on poses that bring blood flow to the pelvis, warm packs, and lots of hot decaff/herbal tea. My RE also had me start Trental (helps with the micro circulation). Somewhere in all that, my lining looked great.

Thank you ladies so much!! @calindi & @luciddreamer106 how much pom juice did you drink? I'm going to the store tonight for that and hot pads! I got my brazil nuts at lunch today

I don't know how much good it will do for my u/s tomorrow morning, but I've got to try! Seems there's always something to worry about.

I mixed sparkling water with my pom juice also since it has such a strong taste. I drank about 8 oz every day from CD 1 until a little past ovulation (or until I finished the bottle). Good luck!

My last cycle was:

Clomid days 3-7, estrogen patch start CD4, hCG trigger CD14 & 20. IUI on CD14 with one 22mm follicle, triple stripe lining. It was a BFN, but everything looked good until it failed. Not sure if this helps you, but I did start the patches on day 4, and it seemed to make for a great lining and I still had one perfect follicle.

Thank you all so much.. had my u/s today and my lining was at 6.8. I was downing pom last night and this morning and slept w/ a heat pad on my belly haha. I'm getting there!!
