When is a time...

You were really happy and didn't realize it until now?

Mine is when i was younger around 17-19. I hung out with my friends all the time, and we did stupid stuff like go out dancing and bake brownies at 2 am. Also a few of my friends from that time have since passed. I feel like i took a lot of that time for granted. But don't all young people?

  • High School.  I was so caught up in life that I didn't realize how awesome it was!

  • When I was single and lived on my own. Don't get me wrong, I love DH.... but there was something very relaxing about not having to report to anyone, being able to go for my run every morning with my dog, go to bed early, and eat pancakes for dinner.

  • My friends and I still talk about the summer after graduation, 2002.  It was such a great summer.  The last few months before everyone moved away to college/university.  I'm in Alberta where the legal drinking age is 18 so we were drunk a lot of that summer.  Haha.  It was awesome and I wish I could back.

This, totally this.  At the time, I didn't love living alone but, looking back, it was glorious.

This may sound a little bad, but  when me and DH were long distance. We had visits once a month (usually) and it was always so exciting.
Doesn't sound bad. DH use to work on the road and i would not see him for months at a time. When i did see him it was like Christmas!
  • The summer between junior and senior year of college. I lived alone in an efficiency with barely any money. I got up at 5:30, biked through beautiful fields to get to work by 6:30, done at 3:30pm. Volunteered at clinic a couple days a week. After work or clinic, biked to the library, then home. Spent most of the evening on the porch reading and relaxing or roaming around downtown in shops. I was so free and unstressed.
  • I also can't think of a time when I was happy and didn't realize it. Happiest times were definitely in college, so carefree!
  • When I lived with my parents when my dh deployed.
