swollen feet and legs

Anyone have problems with swollen feet and calves? Mine are big and hurting. Do you think I should call the doctor?

Swelling in your feet and calves can be totally normal. If the swelling was sudden or suddenly gets worse, call your doctor. If it does not go down after laying down and propping your feet, call your doctor. If you want more info from people in similar situations, check out the daily symptom thread.

eta: I have also had swelling for the last month or so. It's annoying but not dangerous in my case. If you get regular monthly check-ups they are likely already monitoring you for any other signs of pre-e. Swelling alone is not a diagnosis. But if the swelling suddenly appeared, call in.

Mine started at 28 weeks. I called he doctor and they had me come in. I'm being monitored for Preclampsia. Compression socks, putting my legs up and Epsom salt soaks have helped.

This happens to me quite a bit. For me, it is normal. I have no other symptoms of pre-e with it, it seems to be worst when I have to sit at my desk all day. All I can say is try to drink a lot of water, avoid salty foods, and try to prop your feet up when you can!

I am high risk, so it may be different. I was told if my feet become noticeably swollen (as in, hubby notices) to call so the can check me out.
