    1. What brings you over to the bench?

IUI #2 was a bust, so RE thought it was best to NOT proceed with a 3rd, and to put DH on Arimidex for 3 months to see if it might improve his #'s. If not, it's IVF with ICSI for us.

    2. How long will you be staying with us?

3 months minimum. Unless a natural miracle occurs, but I don't see that happening.

    3. How do you feel about being benched?

It sucks. I wish I knew if we were moving on to IVF right now! The up-side is DH doesn't have to stress about "making love to a cup" for a while. Especially when for both IUI's they made him provide a second sample not even an hour after he provided one because the numbers weren't good.

QOTW: I have a GAP sweater that I got when I was 14. And now the sweater is 14 years old too LOL It's in pretty good condition, it has a little hole on the cuff of one of the sleeves but other then that it's still functional. It is a little snugger then it was 14 years ago though :P

  • We are benching ourselves this cycle due to finances and waiting for our next WTF appointment.  Our IUI#1 was a bust and now that we are completely OOP I want a more aggressive plan of action.  We have some money set aside and I want to optimize that to the fullest.  I am thinking that we will probably start injects with IUI since that had been previously offered to us.  It was a very hard decision to come to but I know that it was the right one for us.  I need to get healthy physically and mentally.  I am making it a goal to lose 5 lbs over next cycle and to become more active.

QOTW: I have a PINK hoodie from Victoria's Secret that I bought when they first introduced PINK.  It's big and cozy and I just can't seem to part with it!

  • 1. What brings you to the bench

Sucky SA results have us here, his count came back at 400 with 48 alive and 8 moving.  So basically he had 8 swimmers.

    2. How long will you be here

No clue, waiting for labs to come back, appointment with fert urology is in the works too, I imagine we'll be here for at least 3 months

    3.  How do I feel about being benched

Pissed off, I'm constantly being reminded that I'm going to be 37 we need to hurry up, but yet here we are on the bench.

QOTW:  I have a baseball hat that I wear when I go running that I've had since high school.  It's a Colorado Rockies hat, I don't even watch baseball, I bought it because I liked the colors.

  • @FutureMrsBaldwin2012 those decisions aren't easy, but glad you came to one that's best for you  :)

@kushie77 MFI is nothing fun. I guess your DH feels as horribly about it as mine? I think I would have rather it have been all my physical issues then him. I know he feels less "manly" because of it and I hate seeing him beat himself up over it :(

    1. What brings you over to the bench? Cysts, and lots of them!  I had my CD3 monitoring appointment yesterday to start my next IUI with injects cycle and I had so many cysts on my ovaries there was no way I could move forward.  I lost track as the RE was spouting out numbers but I probably had about 6 cysts with some being in the 20s and 30s mm.  I'm on BCP for the month.

    2. How long will you be staying with us? FX they are cleared up by next month.

    3. How do you feel about being benched? I'm super bummed, IUIs are obviously not working and I just want to move onto IVF but need to complete 3 IUI with inject cycles before I get a approved for IVF. I was going to push through with these cycles B2B but now I have a feeling I'm going to get benched in-between each and every cycle making these 3 cycles take 6 months!!  I'm so impatient.  Trying to stay positive - I luckily didn't have a meltdown in front of the doctor - I just booked it out of the office ASAP LOL

QOTW: What's the oldest piece of clothing you own, and still wear?  It's a tie I have a pair of Old Navy Fleece pants and American Eagle Boxers from my HS days.  They have to be 14 years old.
