Mesh bags- how the hell?

So those little mesh bags that you can put food in and let the kid chew... Know what I'm talking about? Put some frozen banana (bananagate!) slices in one and Tilly went to town. Must have felt good on her teething gums, but what a mess. How do you clean those mesh things? It took me forever. There must be an easier way. Any tips would be appreciated.

    I just soaked ours in soapy water and rinsed, but she had baby carrots and bell peppers so it wasn't to messy.

    Love that boon one! 

    Make sure you turn it inside out when you are washing it. That way you can fan out the mesh and get into all the crevices. 

    The baby Safe feeder has removable bags which makes it easier, plus they are replaceable.

    I second (or third or fourth) a silicone one. The mesh one isn't as bad for less messy foods like berries since it's easier to rinse those off of mesh. But still a pain.

    I just rinse and throw in dishwasher.

    i hate the mesh feeders. i have a rule that if you use one, you clean it.

    i soak the bags but mostly just toss them. we don't use it frequently enough that it would get pricey to buy new bags (and ours are replaceable).  Neither of my kids really took to them.
