  • Switched last week. He still doesn't really like the car.

  • We've always used a convertible.

  • Switched to convertible a few weeks ago

  • Still in an infant seat, but that probably won't last too long!

  • Still infant seat (LO is approaching 28" so we still have time), but it stays in the car. I have no interest in carrying him in it up and down stairs.

  • Switched to the convertible a few weeks ago. She loves it so much more than the infant seat.

  • We are switching to the convertable next week. Still in the infant seat right now.
  • No car, no seat! I am getting a baby seat for my bike soon though :D
Sweet! We installed a seat on the back of DH's mountain bike and E had her first long ride last weekend - she hates being strapped in but once she's in it, she loves it. ;)

In terms of car seats, we switched to a convertible two months ago and in the last few weeks, E has finally been falling asleep in.the.car. I don't know where this baby came from. There is hope for car seat screamers.

  • We are switching to a convertible soon now that the weather is nicer. He's to heavy for me to lug around in the bucket.

  • I really need to move him over to the convertible. It's driving me crazy. However, I have to get DD a seat then and I am having a hard time deciding what booster to get. It's a big decision because she'll be in it for the rest of her carseat days.

  • He is in a convertible in my car, the infant seat is still in MH's car.
  • We switched to the convertible at 4 months. It helped some with car meltdowns.
  • Still in the bucket, but we have the convertibles and will switch as soon as DH is back from Japan.

  • We just switched last weekend. She got to the point where she was ALWAYS crying in the bucket, and I thought she was uncomfortable. She seems to be slightly happier in her new seat. I have to say, she looks like such a big girl in the convertible, it makes me sad :(

  • Still in the bucket, though we may need to switch to convertible soon--that bucket is getting so heavy (and he may be nearing the 30" mark).  I just need to figure out the logistics of getting the kids in and out of the car for daycare dropoff/pickup with one in my arms and one walking next to me--I don't entirely trust DS1 to not run into the parking lot yet, so it's been easier to set the baby down in his bucket while I get DS1 in and out.

we got our bike seat a few weeks ago, but the guy in the bike shop told us not to use it before LO is a year old b/c their heads wouldn't support a helmet before then.

am I being paranoid? are your LOs using helmets already? which ones? we're looking into bike trailers, too ( @chrissiemeas which brand is yours again?) but even those aren't for infants unless they have the head support thingy in there.

  • I put that we switched to the convertible since that's what we have in our car but he uses his bucket seat when he's with his sitter. So both.

  • Convertible seat since day one. We have loved it. Hate all the judgey comments from IRL friends/family though... We have followed all laws and guidelines to the letter and beyond yet they seem to think we must be misinformed and reckless. Sigh.

@amparo1981We have that exact seat and my DH just picked up a helmet from Target (for 1+ years, but somehow it fits E really well). I was twitchy about the whole set-up at first but we are limiting rides to paved paths - no street riding near traffic.

We have a burley single trailer. We have never used it before the babies are 1 yr old. We're looking forward to family bike rides later this summer after DD's b-day.

(Note to self: buy new helmet for DS1 so everyone can move up a size.)

We moved to the convertible in January. A was not comfy in the infantseat.
  • all 3 of 4 choices. He uses the bucket in DH car. Switched to a convertible for my car and has used a convertible since birth in my parents van. He does not seem to have a preference at all. He is happy when he wants to be and other times with scream no matter what seat.

  • @amparo1981 we haven't put LO on a bike yet, but here bikes are like feet to people... sometimes I even think babies learn to bike before they can run properly haha so here they say you can put LO on the bike seat at 8 monts-old or when he can sit by himself. However, most babies don't use a helmet in Holland, but mine will... so if he can't support one, then he can't ride with us for the next 3 months!

Also, we will get a bike trailer too because most of the year we have horrible weather and I don't want LO to take rain and wind directly on his face! So yes, we will have seats and trailers, helmets and flags haha I'm so excited about getting all the baby bike gadgets!

@amparo1981 I'm not sure? We haven't even pulled it out of the box yet or tried to find S a helmet. I didn't know about the 1 yr rule. Hmmm...
