Wish I came to you ladies sooner

I really wish I had come to this site sooner. After not getting pregnant on my own after 9 months I figured I needed help.  I was struggling with a reg Dr. who told me all I needed was metformin for 6 months (PCOS) then we could try something else. Well I believed that until 6 months later I hadnt gotten anywhere and she still wasnt willing so I took myself to and OB/GYN which I figured was the next step. After a couple months of trying to regulate my system I started my first round of clomid (50mg). I am totally unmonitered. I had B/W and an HSG but that was all on my last cycle. Then I didnt have a period for the first time in 10 years I was so excited since we were told HSG can increase your chances. Just turns out I didnt Ovulate. So I started the Provera/Clomid round Last month. Now after being here I am nervous about what I have done to myself. I havent had any testing at all and I didnt know to do anything besides BD and OPK. I cant believe what I have learned just from you ladies the last couple of weeks alone. You have been very helpful and made me question a lot of things. If this round doesnt work I will have a lot more information to take back with me to my OB and if shes not willing then I will seek an RE because I would hate to put myself at a bigger risk then I need to . Thank you ladies for the advice, honesty and hope that you share everyday. I hope that I can move on ( and you all can too) but if not I hope I can become a ray of light for someone like a few of you have been here for others!

10/12-6/13 Natural 
Pcos Dx 7/13 Metformin 500mg x2 daily
4/14 Provera  10days  then Clomid 50mg CD5-9 (BFN)
5/14 Provera 10days then Clomid 50mg CD5-9  (BFN)
6/14 (no provera yay!) Clomid 50mg CD5-9  (BFN)
7/14 Natural Cycle Moving on to RE appt not til 7/31 (BFN)  
8/14 Plan of action! Moved up to 1500mg Metformin, Femara 3-7 (Trigger canceled due to not big enough follies and holiday weekend) (BFN)
9/14 7.5mg Femara CD3-7 +ovidrel  (BFN)
10/14 5mg Femara(3-7) Follistim 75 (7-9) +Ovidrel +TI (last treatment cycle this year Breaking til after Holidays) (BFP! Beta #1 114, Beta #2 364)

    Autumnray I am pretty new here too and I echo your feelings about the helpful ladies on TTTC!

    My GP and GYN never tried to help me get pregnant, they just referred me to an RE when I was ready. I feel a big relief to know our baby dreams are in the hands of a specialist, and that I am doing everything possible.

     Good luck to you and nice to meet you =) I will be much more informed when I go next time and maybe I will need to have her refer me to an RE! Right now my insurance is covering everything basically I have no clue if it will cover an RE or not but better chances if I am refered I suppose!

    Welcome! Those are serious drugs and you should be closely monitored by an RE to avoid problems. Best wishes to you!

    Welcome! I'm sorry that you have to join us on this board but you will find incrediable support and tons more info on here than you may if you hadn't. You are smart to seek out the help of an RE to get some answers. Best of luck!

    Trying to have baby #1 since April 2013

    DH SA March,May 2014 - Low motility and shape issues. On vitamins per RE to help

    Me testing April 3, 2014 - FSH and LH good, HSG showed blocked right tube

    April 29, 2014 - First RE appt., right tube needs to be removed and possibly left also if

    it's bad too. RE suggests going straight to IVF

    June 4, 2014 - LAP/HSC and unexpected endo. removed but tubes got to stay!

    June 13, 2014 - Post-Op appointment. We decide where to go next since main issue

    is MFI influenced. Trying naturally until decision... Repeat SA  in September. Aiming for IUI #1 November 2014.

    DX: MFI (low count and motility)
    Charting/OPK/CBFM July 2013-present
    1st RE Visit: January 2014
    Cycling: 
    March 2014- 75iu follistim + trigger + progesterone + IUI = BFN and OHSS
    (8 million post wash 47% motility, 18mm/17mm/16mm/16mm/14mm follies)
    April/May 2014- Benched due to cysts/enlarged ovaries
    June 2014- 50iu follistim + trigger + progesterone + IUI = BFP!!
    (10 million post wash 60% motility, 20mm/19mm follies)
    Beta 1- 85 Beta 2- 2,752 - EDD 2/27/2015

    Married 8/6/2011 Me (26) DH (33) SA normal,HSG clear TTC since August 2011 7/2012 50mg Clomid+Trigger+IUI+progesterone =BFN 8/2012 100mg Clomid+estrogen+Trigger+IUI+progestrone=BFN 10/2012 100mg clomid+Gonal+Lupron+Trigger+Progestrone+IUI=BFP but ectopic.

    TTC since May 2012

    HSG- all clear

    March 2014 - RE appt. 
    April 2014- Saline sono all's good, terrible SA results - 8 sperm found all abnormal
    May 2014- Fert Urology- Bilateral varicoceles, recommend Donor Sperm
    12/2014-  Surprise natural BFP  EDD 7/31/15 Plan:  Starting foster to adoption, natural cycles

    IUI #3 April - CD3 U/S 4-10. Letrozole, Follistim, Ovidrel CD11 - Cancelled.. TI w/5 follicles-BFN
    IUI #3.1 May - CD3 U/S 5-6, Follistim start 5-11 thru 5-17, u/s 5-18 3 mature w/ a close 4th, IUI 5-20 - BFP!
                 Beta #1 12dpo - 164 & progesterone - 89!, Beta #2 16 dpo - 1189, 5w3d - u/s shows TWINS!
                 6/19- u/s showed heartbeats! Baby A 111 & Baby B 118, both measuring 6w1d
                 7/3- Baby A hb 170, Baby B hb 166 - both measuring perfect.
                 7/18 - Baby A 165, Baby B 171 - both measuring right on track & moving all around!

    I agree with all of the other ladies!  This board is pretty amazing, you come here feeling lost and you very quickly become so supported and full of knowledge, it is a pretty special group of ladies.

    2002- Diagnosed with PCOS at 18
    10/11-10/12 - tried to conceive naturally with Metformin, due to PCOS never had a cycle
    10/12-12/12 3 cycles of Clomid - fail
    6/13- 1st cycle on Clomid 50mg, Metformin, Follistim, and Ovidrel- BFN
    7/13 2nd cycle on Clomid 50 mg, Metformin, Follistim, and Ovidrel 1st IUI - BFN
    8/13 3rd cycle on Clomid 50 mg, Metformin, Follistim, and Ovidrel 2nd IUI - BFN
    9/13 4th cycle on Clomid 50 mg, Metformin, Follistim, and Ovidrel - Benched with Cysts
    From 12/13 to current I have ovulated 4 times naturally
    Currently on break to get healthy.... 35 pounds down, 13 to go!

    Thank you so much for all the Welcomes and hellos. This TWW is so far the hardest as I was never one to really be accepting of meds. I am really struggling today as more and more announcements seem to be coming through. Seems like the water around here is affecting everyone and no matter the amount of gallons I consume its skipping me. I have some bloating and back pain so I am prepared for AF to come rear her ugly head. Im in a sad state today I have 1 FRER left and its sitting there laughing at me every time I look at it. Yay for depression today.
