btdt baby asthma

Has anyone had any experience with having a child with asthma? If so, what did it look like?

Ds2 has been wheezing for a few months now. He responds to either the inhaler and or steam in the shower. He does it about 2-3 times a day. We have a family history of asthma so I'm thinking that may be the culprit. We went to the pedi a couple weeks ago and Nico wasn't wheezing by the time we got to the office. The pedi said it was just a cold but my mommy instincts are telling me the wheezing is more than that. I'm going to press for him to look into it more at put upcoming appointment. I could use some suggestions about what I should push for.

    No advice, just (((hugs)).  I'm sorry the pedi isn't trusting your mama instincts.  I hope you get some answers.

    Thanks everyone. I have a nebulizer already since SD has asthma too. I'm also thinking this could be allergies or bad reflux. I'm definitely going to ask for a referral to a specialist if the pedi isn't too helpful. I'm sorry you all also have to deal with asthma also.
