1) It's cold and snowing out when it was just in the 70s yesterday...WTH!
2) We started the Ferber method of CIO and it's going pretty well for us so far **knock on wood**. We started Saturday only at night and today I've incorporated it at naptime.
3) I mentioned last week about us beginning to plan a family vacation but after a whole week we're still in the same place as last week with no official plans yet. I just want a vacation to look forward to!
4) After really slacking on making baby food, I made 3 different purees for the freezer this morning!
5) I just got done taking some Easter photos of my LO, complete with bunny ears and easter eggs! I took them with my galaxy s4 but after looking at them, I really wish I had a nice camera and some knowledge of photography. I really enjoy photography but just don't know where to start and what to buy.
6) I am "babysitting" a 5 year old next week during her spring break from school. I'm looking forward to the company during the day and hoping LO likes it too!
7) The outside of our house needs to be painted so this past weekend we drove around looking at different houses in a nicer, more modern neighborhood to get some inspiration. We decided on a color scheme, brought home some sample paint and tried it out. It is the same exact color as the house kitty corner from us (we live on a corner). I feel really weird painting it the same color for some reason but on the other hand, it took us a while to decide on this color scheme. Ugh, I'm not sure what to do!
8) I spent the whole day at my parents house yesterday with LO. I love seeing her happy and comfortable there with my parents!
9) MIL stopped by (without notice) this weekend and she asked for us to hand over LO, so we did but she began crying immediately. MIL proceeded to say that LO is around us too much and she needs to take her for a while to get her used to other people. Uh no, she's just tired and ready for a nap! Plus, she doesn't like the way you are with her because you don't bother to spend enough time around her to know what she likes and so that she begins to recognize you.
10) MIL contacted DH to ask what we were doing for Easter so she could schedule something for a little get together (no definite plans at this point, just her checking to see when we would be available). So I checked with my family and we decided on a late afternoon dinner to be sure my brother and LOs cousin (who is 1 year old) will be there. DH and I decided that we would suggest doing a brunch with his family to MIL. The very next day she brought it all up again but this time with plans for her to go to a morning Easter celebration (that we weren't invited to) and an afternoon one at Grandma's house...that would have been nice to know YESTERDAY! Holidays should not be stressful!
1. My leg muscles hurt so bad, feels like I worked out but I most definitely did not. It's from playing peek a boo, hiding low than jumping up. Yep I'm out of shape.
2. I wish I took more videos of DD when she was a newborn, I only have maybe 2 very short clips. I tear up everytime I watch them though, bitter sweet.
3. I'm booking a hair cut for DD and I, I desperately need a change. A also really needs her bangs cut.. I love how they look swooped to the side but they're always in her eyes unless I clip them up and I'm getting tired of always clipping them from the moment she wakes up until bed. Time for a trim!!
4. I'm really looking forward to Easter Sunday because I don't have to cook all day and I really enjoy family time.
5. Organization seriously needs to be done in my home, I need a new system. I'm looking forward to spending some money on bins and shelves and really going at it to save space and de clutter before summer arrives.
6. I think a manicure is in my near future. I deserve it and my nails have been bare since a week before going into labor.
7. I love getting mail way too much.. I swear I check the mailbox twice a day hoping it was late after the first time I checked.. It's like a gamble, is it a cheque or is it a bill?! Same with my email inbox..love getting new mail. Mainly cause I'm waiting for an acceptance letter though.
8. I was hoping that I wouldn't see anymore snow until next year but what do ya know.. Weather warnings & a whole lot of snow.
9. Putting make up on works wonders on my self esteem.. I wish I felt comfortable without it.. I do to a certain extent but shit I go from a 3 to a 7.5 with a bit of cover up, blush, eyeliner & mascara.
10. I keep having dreams that I'm exploring a beautiful big new house, it's a different house in every dream but it's just making me realllllly want to buy a home. My apartment isn't gonna cut it forever but it's soooo affordable, and it would be hard to give that up.
1. CIO is just winding LO up at night and is not working at all. I've done it for three days and although that's not very long, she isn't doing CIO at all. It's more like cry for 20 minutes and then stay up for four more hours.
2. H's cousin has an LO 8 months older than LO. Her LO and mine have the same exact attitudes about sleeping with mommy and act the same exact way when it comes to bedtime. I'm going to take her advice which will take longer than CIO but I think will work better.
Would love to hear the advice she gave you! I'm really curious because CIO isn't going great for us either, it also just riles her up and then she's up for another 4+ hours, and won't stop crying for hours even though she was tired and ready for bed.
I wasn't going to make LO an Easter basket, but now that I see others are doing it, I feel like I have to do it as well.
I tried marshmallow-flavored "peeps" iced coffee today and it was gross.
I saw the One Direction video for "Story of My Life" yesterday and it actually made me tear up. I don't like One Direction and I never cry, so this was a bizarre reaction. WTH is wrong with me!
This afternoon I couldn't find the tiny dish I use for LO's puree, so I spooned it from a shot glass.
My favorite thing about spring as a child was the smell of lilacs.
I just trashed/donated all but one pair of shoes when I realized they no longer fit. Thanks, pregnancy...
The one pair of shoes I have left doesn't fit either, but I can't very well go barefoot.
I tried a paleo diet recipe last night (curried cauliflower) and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was.
LO noticeably babbled for the first time today!
I suspect my mail carrier is giving my mail to a neighbor with a very similar address number. It's happened several times before, and I haven't gotten mail for the last three days, so I think she's doing it again.
1) I just had my list done through #5 and DD pushed buttons on my phone and it deleted the whole thing. I'm not sure how it happened.
2) I really like this thread. I look forward to it every week.
3) I like the "new" regs on this board.
4) I also liked the "old" regs too. I was glad to see some of them come back last week and get involved in some threads. I'd missed them. Hopefully they'll come back in more often.
5) We had a rough night Sunday night after a good night Saturday night. I'm still trying to recover.
6) I wish she'd get some teeth. I'm always thinking she's teething and never really know.
7) I really wanted to do pictures outside with DD for Easter but we have yucky weather all week this week. I may have to them inside again.
8) it doesn't feel like time to put DD to bed because it is still daylight outside.
9) I can't seem to get 3 meals in for LO between her nursing schedule and sleep schedule I can't figure out how to get them in.
10) I had a good day at work Monday. Hopefully it will be a good one Thursday too. I need the$
1. Like @jojo1112, I too don't like surprises. They give me anxiety because I can not control my facial expressions. I always know what I am getting and would hate a surprise party.
2. I have had a huge attitude problem with DH for no reason at all. All I can think is I'm in limbo trying to find who I am now that I'm a mother/wife as oppose to the party/drama sorority girl I was 3 years ago.
3. The saying "you are meanest to the ones you love the most" applies to me more often than I'd like.
4. I could literally kill the family in parents in Texas who starved their 5 year old boy and made him sleep in a 4 by 4 closet. If I didn't have my baby to raise I would go protest at the courthouse.
5. I desperately want to be on a Real Housewives show.
6. I've packed on 5 lbs during all my relationship issues I've been having and I've loved shoving food in my mouth every minute.
7. We are going to start going to counseling to work on things. I am afraid it is me and that I am having PPD. I don't know if it comes 7 1/2 months after birth but now that P isn't so needy I feel unwanted. It's weird.
8. I believe in signs maybe too much so. I see something or something happens daily that I say "There's a sign from God I should or should not to whatever it is."
9. Easter is my favorite holiday for religious reasons but the Easter bunny theme freaks me out.
10. ILs are so dysfunctional and are coming over for Easter. I wish it were acceptable to fill a candy dish with Xanax.
1. I went for an 80 minute massage yesterday using a gift card DH got me for my birthday last August. It was absolutely amazing.
2. I had to take LO to urgent care tonight because the teachers had daycare determined his eyes to be "goopy" today. They said he couldn't return without a dr. note, and it was too late to see his pediatrician.
3. It's not pink eye!!! The dr. thinks it's just drainage from the little cold LO has. So, he can go to DC tomorrow and I don't have to call into work.
4. I have to iron work shirts for myself and I f*&king hate ironing with a passion.
5. I really wish they didn't charge extra at the dry cleaners for women's shirts, otherwise I would take all of my shirts there, but I can't justify the expense.
6. We had family photos taken on Sunday.
7. The photographer put 3 "sneak peek" photos on Facebook yesterday. I love them. There is one of DH and DS that is absolutely amazing.
8. I was really looking forward to spaghetti for dinner tonight. But that got scraped after the urgent care visit in favor of frozen pizza. I am not thrilled.
9. I, too, am sick of this weather. I'm used to WI winters, but this is just getting excessive.
10. We are going to my in laws for Easter. I'm pretty lucky - they're great. They live 2 hours away, so I get to nap on the way there and the way home. I'm excited for these naps.

Edit: I accidentally posted this before finishing. I've tried numerous times to fix it. I shall try again tomorrow. Way. Too. Tired.
