S/A Results. Why is everything always bad?

After my bad AMH results on Friday (0.46) we just got back DH's S/A results.  

Count 35 mil
Motility 47% (don't know about the categories)
Morphology 1.5% 


The nurse told DH that the Re would probably rec IUI at least.  And I don't know if that is based on just his S/A, or if it was based on my AMH too.  We we were previously talking about just clomid cycles , and it seems like that is out of the question.  It seems like nothing in the last year has gone right.  :(

    Well try not to stress it too much, Clomid IUIs are really NBD and you have a better chance of success with IUI than TI anyway. 

    Talk to the RE, I'm sure if you told them you wanted to try just Clomid / TI for a couple cycles they'd let you.

    Hugs to you. Sorry that you got more bad news. FWIW, our RE recommends IUI with all Clomid cycles if possible because he figures that if you've gone through the trouble of meds and monitoring, why not give yourself the best chance possible by getting "all the guests to the party" (his words not mine).

    DX w/PCOS 1/05, met RE 6/05, HSG 7/05

    BFP#2 8/05 w/Clomid 100mg, trigger shot, IUI  (Metformin, Progesterone, Heparin during PG) DD born 5/06

    i'm sorry you got more bad news, gotta love being kicked when you're already down. hopefully you guys can try a few months of IUI + meds.  big (((hugs)))

    IVF #2.2 May 2015 - horrible response to micro lupron flare protocol: 3R, 3M, 3F. 3dt of 2 Grade 3 embies. BFFN. 

    BFP #7 (beyond surprised again!) 4/26/16. EDD 1/5/17. beautiful betas!!!! and then near-fatal hemorrhagic corpus luteum. turns out baby was ectopic after all; another lap 5/6 (@24dpo).

    I'm sorry. However I want to tell you we conceived twice with MUCH worse results. DH'S first SA was 0 so I'm not exaggerating when I say it was bad. I'm not trying to minimize your bad news or tell you it could be worse I'm just trying to let you know that there is hope.

    @tache‌ thanks. I also have low AMH (.46) and only one functioning ovary. I know there is hope, but with the 6 month anniversary of our son Noah's stillbirth this week, it's just a lot to take in.
