Hi guys! Thanks for checking in on me. @Junebug060609 and @rmpar29 - How are you both doing? Hope all is well!

I'm doing ok. 13 weeks today, and still in the closet about the pregnancy. We are probably going to leave it for awhile longer still. I'm just not ready to tell. I'm definitely showing, but I'm a bigger girl, so it just looks like fat. No one has any reason to believe we were TTC, so they aren't reading into things (I don't think).

I've had a rough couple of days. My grandfather, who is the most important person to me, had surgery on his carotid artery yesterday. I thought I was handling it really well, and didn't actually feel that worried about it... until I had a chance to see he was ok after... then I fell apart. Apparently I'm getting really good at compartmentalizing things. I knew I did it with my losses, guess I do it with other things too. Today I almost feel hungover from the emotion of it.

I haven't let myself get too excited about this pregnancy yet, but I think it's time to start, so I'm giving myself at least one day a week to let down my guard and just go baby crazy. It's hard, but needed. No symptoms still, other than the occasional pain in my sciatic and a headache that won't go away. Can't really complain though. I'm pretty sure I have been finding babies h/b on the doppler, but I second guess myself on that all the time. What if I'm finding something else that fast? It's usually around 160.

No more baby u/s's for me now until the anatomy scan in 8 weeks. I'm thinking I need to book an appt with one of those boutique places just to ease my mind. They are expensive, but I feel like I need that relief again.

Anyway, that's enough about me. Thanks so much for checking up on me! Have I mentioned lately how much I love you?

Yay! You responded!

Glad the pg is going well (Yes!!!). Did you do the NT or one of the DNA tests? Thinking I missed the post if you did. Figured I would ask since you are far enough along for both.

160 is baby. Sounds great for that gestation

Sometimes you (or, well, me at least) might pick up maternal stuff...but that is usually much lower...like 120-135.

I never had much for first tri symptoms with either of my viable pg's...yet here I am at 37 weeks today (um, holy shit!).

I hope your grampa is recovering ok. And hugs on compartmentalizing. I have done A LOT of that this pg. Sometimes it's what needs to happen to function. It's good to let it out now and then though, even if it does leave you feeling hung over.

@hellosweetie1 - YAY! I'm so glad that things are going well for you and I understand still being in the closet. I hope that you feel comfortable enough soon to share your good news with the world. I agree that 160 is definitely baby! I'm sorry to hear about your Grandpa and I hope that his recovery is quick. We all have our break down moments, but I'm glad that you are going to schedule a boutique day to try to relax a bit. I can't tell you how happy I am for you!

@junebug060609 - Thanks for stalking me! I really, really, really hope to be able to join you soon. I'm 5DPO and going nuts! I had a couple good follies, excellent E2 numbers, the best numbers ever for DH and I'm praying with all of my being that it worked. I still cannot believe that you are 37 weeks...wow! I cannot wait to hear your birth story! How's the GD? How are you feeling?

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for my grandfather. He's doing well, and it looks like he might be discharged today... yay!

@junebug060609 - I can't believe you're 37 weeks! Time sure flew by. Hope you're still feeling pretty good and can chase your little guy around.

I don't think I posted when I had my NT Scan... I was trying not to be an AW about everything :P It was a few weeks ago and everything looked good as far as the tech could tell. That was certainly a relief!

@rmpar29 - FX for you! I'm going to stalk your chart like crazy. So glad to hear you're feeling optimistic about this cycle
