  Hopefully I did this right! It's my first CP!
  
  The hospital recommended using a file, I tried using clippers first, but they made sharp corners. I feel like they grow back so fast with a file though... I'm seriously trimming them every other day or so.

  Clippers. I got the tip of her finger, no blood but boy did she cry yesterday. I find her nails too soft for the file and I don't bite my own nails, so I'm not going to bite hers, plus they always seem so dirty!

  8/2011, 1/2012, 3/2012 IUI #1-3 BFN 

  6/2012 IVF#1 BFN, 8/2012 IVF#2 FET BFN, 11/2012 IVF#3 BFP
  12/10/2012 U/S #1 6w4d - heartbeat  EDD 8/1/13 

  12/26/2012 U/S #2 8w6d - No more heartbeat, MMC; D&C; Chromosome testing normal; male RPL testing normal 

  4/3/2013 DX Asherman's Syndrome caused by D&C, hysteroscopy done

  June 2013 IVF #4 planned 

  5/12/2013 SURPRISE BFP! Natural cycle 

  7/11/2013 Panorama results Normal!!! Team Pink, partial previa moved up in 2nd tri9/5/13 (19w) AS scan shows short cervix, 2.5 cm 9/19 (21w)  Cervix is worse 1.87cm, bed rest 10/26 & 10/27 steroid shots 12/19 (35w) DX: SGA Baby went from 57% percentile to 18th percentile in 6 weeks. Weekly BPP and NST until she is here. 1/17/18 Growth scan puts Abby below 10th percent in size, low amniotic fluid, and less movement. Time to induce!

  SS: nail scissors FTW. Seriously, they're so much easier than clippers. I do them when he falls asleep at the boob.

  Clippers. I got over my paranoia with DS1 & clipping is no big deal to me. He also doesn't seem to scratch himself much at all even if I don't get to them, so we are laid back about them for the most part.

  DD's nails actually "cut" themselves to where she has the "clipping" hanging on one edge and we just pull it off. She doesn't seem to even notice when it's pulled off and the "cut" is exactly where it should be.

  Clippers & we also paint just the toe nails! We use piggy paint

  I bite the corner and then peel them off. I used to clip but I cut her finger and it was horrible (blood and inconsolable screaming). I can't bring myself to cut again, I'm too scared.

  DH clips while I feed him a bottle. He's never clipped the tip of his fingers but his nail bed and skin is so soft and paper thin that sometimes the sharp edge of the clippers catch the skin and he bleeds a little but never cries.

  IUI#2 Christmas day :'( Canceled due to low count/poor sample  :'(
  IVF#1 w/ICSI: 3/18 BCP, Lupron down reg, Follistim 300IU, LDHCG 10units, Lupron 5units, Ovidrel trigger on 3/18. ER 3/21

  Piggy paint is what I use on my little girls. You can find it on Amazon. It's a little more expensive than regular nail polish but it's odor less, non-toxic and comes off really easy (usually comes off in like 2 or 3 days all on its own).

  Nail scissors! Tried clippers and chickened out, bit them but doesn't work that well, too soft for a file so scissors worked best for me!

  I use clippers. DH is too scared and since I worked at a vet hospital I was always the designated kitty nail trimmer and apparently the responsibility just rolled over to DD. The file only really worked after trimming since her nails were like paper.
