Need ideas for newborn photos

We're going to a photographer this week and I have no creativity and therefore no ideas of what I want. Should I just let the photographer do her thing or make suggestions? I don't even know what outfits to put the baby and DD (3) in. I was thinking baby naked or in a diaper, I've been too exhausted to put any more thought into it other than wanting to capture her cuteness at this precious stage.

Any suggestions?

    Usually it's best to just let the photog so her thing. Is she specifically a newborn photographer? Then she does this all the time. Just make sure you've looked at her work, so you have an idea of what you're going to get.

    She does general family pictures, I don't think she's specifically a NB photographer but I'm sure she'll have better ideas than me. My brain is so fuzzy right now. I'm going to look on Pinterest. Thanks for the suggestions :)

    My husband had the two best ideas out of all of our pictures and they were specific towards our tastes and hobbies. So maybe bring props of things that represent your family. For example my husband is from Africa so we had pictures taken with his African beads.

    I also just let my photographer do her thing. The only thing I wanted was a photo in a specific hat. I skid ended up getting a photo with LO wrapped in a blanket that my grandma knitted.

    We did the naked in a luxurious blanket pose, and the naked in a delicate gauzy fabric with dainty matching headband pose. They are both great.

    I just let the photographer do her thing mostly. I did have a couple of particular poses I wanted (our wedding rings on her toes and a few shots with this little knitted Easter bunny hat I bought) but otherwise she just dressed her up in some of the props that she brought and went to town!

    Does he/she have a blog or portfolio online of previous newborn sessions? I went through her portfolio and picked styles and poses I liked and she was able to replicate some of them.
