When did the cord fall off?

Chase is 15 days old and still has the stump. Just wondering when/ if your LO has lost theirs? Did you do anything to help?

Kara's feel off around 3.5 weeks. We dabbed alcohol on it per our pedi, but that's it. It was so gross when it was falling off!!

LO's fell off around 2.5 weeks. I didn't do anything, the doc advised against using alcohol to dry it out like they used to recommend. However now she has some crusty green stuff on her bellybutton so I am waiting to hear back from the doctor to find out what she thinks it is.

2 weeks but then the stump took one more week. Our pediatrician said to leave it alone. It never got infected.

11 days I think. We used alcohol on it after her bath as recommended by her dr.

My mom said my sister's was on for 6 weeks! Sometimes it takes awhile.

2 weeks. It fell off at his 2 week appointment. It looked gross those last couple of days but was not infected and looks like a regular belly button now.

3 weeks exactly. Except it left a yellow portion underneath which then took another week. Gross!

He was 1 week exactly when it fell off but still has some green stuff on belly button pedi said its normal and just wash off with water

DS1 - one week
DS2 - 4 days

Didn't put anything on it. When I said something to my midwife after DS2's fell off, she said more would come off sooner if people would just leave them alone.

I think it was right around the two week mark. We didn't do anything to help it along.

Scarlett's came off at 6 days. We didn't use anything on it... Just left it alone. There is still a small scab on it at 8 days.

9 days but it was naaaasty when it fell off. I think it came off a little prematurely. She had to have it caulderized twice. Looks great now though!

15 days. I use cloth diapers and I think one of them sort of irritated it off because the rise was a little high. oops. (it looks fine BTW, lol.)

6 days is when the big stump fell off, her small scab fell off a week later (this morning). She'll be 2 weeks tomorrow!

DD - 2.5 to 3 weeks (I just remember it felt like forever, but it was a long time ago) - we used alcohol wipes as recommended by doctor (normal practice at the time)
DS1 - 4 days - no special care (no alcohol)
DS2 - 3 days - no special care (no alcohol)

All 3 kids had tub baths, but I feel the alcohol slowed down DD's stump from falling off.

E's fell off at 4 days old. It then bled for 2 weeks after, it was so stressful. I didn't do anything to it, but was told it would fall off sooner since they now leave the clamp on (this is new and not how it was done with DS).

Nicholas' cord fell off completely at about 5 days. I was surprised, b/c my other children didn't lose theirs till they were a few weeks old. And, tbh, I didn't really do the alcohol/cotton ball thing like the nurse suggested.

6 days but it has been oozing and bleeding since. She is 2 weeks today. It's not red or infected looking but maybe I should call the dr. I didn't realize they would cautorize it. Funny how you can still be clueless with kid #3.
