I know I can't shelter my babies forever...

But it would be nice if when we went to the park we didn't have to witness a teen mom telling her daughter to shut up when she was just asking for help with the swing.

I just seriously don't understand why anyone thinks it's okay to say shut up to your kid. :(

Rant over, usually we have an awesome time at the park and there are usually great parents and kids there. It's just frustrating when I see such obvious bad parenting choices.

    Or when a mom is on the jungle gym following her daughter with a cigarette in her hand and slides down the slide with her with that cigarette?! Really people!!

    As tough as some days may be, I don't understand how some parents don't soak up that time with their kids while they're young. I've been itching to get H to the park when there aren't so many big kids there so we can let him experience the swing and slides. We usually watch and take walks and I see so many parents wrapped up in other things. This time with little ones won't last long.

    You know, we live in the ghetto and sometimes I cringe at what some other kids are doing at the playground (when their parents don't care/interfere).  I keep telling DH that we need to move soon.

    One time there was this kid who kept putting mulch on the top of the slide and push it down.  His mom even encouraged him.  When he was finally done, the mom did not tell her son to clean it up, or did she do it herself.  So we had playground slides all covered with dirt and mulch. I know I should have said something... 

    Having said that, however, I'm sure there are still misbehaving kids and indifferent parents who live in affluent areas as well.

    When I hear parents talking rudely to their kids, I want to say "how do you expect they are going to start talking to YOU in a few years?!" It's one thing to be strict, it's another thing to be mean.

    My friend says shut up to her 4 month old when she did it the first time I almost vomited. I can't figure out how to say something to her, she also has ppd.

    My cousin calls her child "defiant". At 6 mo it was because she was flapping her arms. Now at one year it is because she pushes away trying to get down. I've seen defiant children. It isn't at 6 mo or a year. Sigh.

    Clomid 50mg 12/2011 = BFN
    Clomid 100mg 1/2012 = BFN, with Cyst

    ER 4/19/12 = 11 retrieved, 6 fertilized,
    ET 4/22/12 = 2 transfered (day 3), remaining 3 weren't good enough to freeze
    Beta 5/3 = BFP, 87 Beta #2 5/7 560.9 Beta #3 5/9 1376.5 First u/s One Baby, 125bpm!
    Second u/s, 176bmp! Kicked over to the OB by the RE at 8w. Team Green!! 
    Baby girl J arrived two weeks early! Born into water, med-free. Hooray for Team Pink!

    TTC #2 - back to the RE, treatment started 12/2014.

    I normally avoid Walmart like the plague, but I ordered something online and did the in-store pick up so I could get free shipping (ha!) and when I was walking to the service desk I saw this Mom trying to shove her 1ish year old who didn't want to sit down into the cart while telling him to, "Sit the phuck down before I break your phucking legs."    

    Oh and I'm pretty sure I could write a book about my teaching days in the hood.  I saw/heard some pretty messed up stuff.  

    Makes me so sad.
