There was some discussion about TVs last week. So how many do you have in your house?
And do you or will you put a TV in your kids room?

We have one in our bedroom but it hasn't been turned on in months. There is also one in our living room. I don't watch tv hardly at all during the day.

We will be moving the one in our bedroom to the playroom soon. I figure it will be nice in there when the baby is a little older and can watch movies.

3--living room, finished basement, our room. Leaning toward no TVs in kids' rooms as they get older--the basement is kind of a playroom.

My stepdaughters have a TV in their bedroom at their moms house and it stays on all night long. They don't like to sleep here because we won't let them have a TV.

We have 4. One in the living room/bar room, one in the family room, one in our bedroom that only gets used to watch movies when one of us is bedridden (it hasn't been used in over a year and isn't hooked up to cable) and dh has one in the garage as well.

We have a tv in our living room and one in our bedroom. Our living room tv is hardly ever used. Well watch a show in bed before sleeping, but we probably only watch 5 hours of TV a week, so it isn't on an excessive amount.

We have three. One in the living room, one in our bedroom and then my uncle has one in his room. My kids will never be allowed to have one in their room and as soon as we move and have more privacy we will not have one in our room. I don't like having one in the bedroom.

We have two, one in the family room and the other in the basement rec room. Eventually the basement one will be more used than it is now.

One in the living room, one in our room that I'm not entirely sure has ever been used since I was pregnant and had activity restriction. Kids will not have televisions in their room, but we might add one/ move our bedroom TV to the playroom when we move.

I do not want b to have a tv in his room at all or not until he is in upper high school.

H had a tv in his room growing up. He said that starting around 8 years old, he'd come home from school and eat his dinner while watching TV in his bedroom while his parents watched TV in theirs. Sorry, not sorry, I judge that.

We have 3- the biggest and newest one is in DH's 'man cave'. He's a lucky bastard.
Also, we have no cable, so we don't really have the TV on a whole lot. The one in our bedroom is mostly for me. I like to get cozy and watch a movie some nights- I call it date night.

One in the living room, one in the finished basement/playroom, and one in our bedroom. I never thought I would have a TV in my bedroom but DH had one before we met and got used to falling asleep to it. I will never put one in the kids rooms!

We have one in the family room, our bedroom, and the kitchen. I have no plans to put one in the kid's rooms. I do watch tv in my room because DD wakes hourly so it is easier to be close to her room and not all the way downstairs in the family room.

Maybe I should save this for Friday's confessions, but we don't have a TV at all. When we first moved into our house we were trying to save money, so instead of getting cable we just got a Netflix subscription. We lent out our TV to a family member and just use our computers to watch movies and other shows on. Four years since we moved into this house, we've never had a TV. Perhaps we'll get a TV when LO gets older.

We have 1 TV in the upstairs game room. No cable or Netflix or anything, we just use it for the older kids to watch a Disney DVD a couple times a month. DH and I don't watch shows and are never willing to stay up late enough after the kids go to bed to watch adult movies.

@thewif85‌ That's not a confession-it's commendable.

We have one in the basement. It gets 2 channels reliably...and we use it for movies. I grew up in a house with a TV so old we had to use needle nose pliers to turn it on because the knob was broken. My parents got it for free. Were it not for dh, we probably wouldn't have one--esp. because we can stream things.

2 - one in the den and one in our room. We rarely sit down specifically to watch TV, so often we will just watch something together before bed, in our room. Like an episode of Top Gear or the Formula 1 race.

We do technically have a small third TV in the basement but it's sole purpose is to play my workout DVDs so I kinda don't count it. It's not hooked up to anything else, and is just a 19" one.

We don't even have cable so we just use Netflix, Apple TV or over the air channels for news. We Do not plan to put a TV in LO's room.

We are down to two. One in the family room and one in our master. However the one in our master isn't even connected to cable anymore since they switched to digital and needing a box for each tv. It's only still there so I can use it to do my exercise DVDs.

We have one in the family room and that is it. We will eventually add one in the pool room/bar in the basement, but we don't believe in them for bedrooms.

Fighting over the tv with your siblings/parents is a rite of passage that we intend to pass along to our children.

There is a cable hook up in a built-in cabinet in our master bath across from the jetted tub. I can see the attraction, but we've not bought a tv for that location. With my luck anytime I take a bath I end up with a bunch of little faces asking if they can join me...
