DH is taking me shopping this weekend for my birthday.....and I am terrible at clothes shopping.....I hate it and I am very picky. This will be an adventure I am sure. I took my sister to the Target and the Macys by my house and they had like 3 racks each. Terrible selection......so we might drive a little further to another mall that has an actual maternity clothes store in it. I think it might be more money though......I need to call my Old Navy and see if they have a maternity section. I do really like Old Navys clothes, but the store is kinda out of my way, so I don't normally go there. I seen they have some hella good sales online right now, but I am afraid to order stuff without trying it on.
DH said to me yesterday "why do you have to wait so long to tell people, you can't even hide it anymore. You are showing so much already" I had to explain to him that some people are not showing at all at this point, I had a fat belly to begin with, so I am much worse off. Even with all my biggest pot bellies, food bellies, and beer bellies, I have always fit into my shorts. Not now....the bloat is down lower, where my low rise jeans and shorts need to button.

Old Navy and Target have the cutest, and cheapest maternity clothes, in my opinion. Most of the stuff they have is online, though. They both carry much more online than in the stores.
I also bought from ASOS and Figure 8 Maternity online, as well H & M in the store.
I really hated the look of Motherhood Maternity's clothes
Old Navy's online selection is much better than in store. I would order and just return anything you don't want to the store. You can usually find a deal for $0 shipping.
I shopped mostly at Old Navy and Target last time. I also had to buy a couple formal dresses from Motherhood, although I'm not a big fan of that store. I have a pretty extensive maternity wardrobe from last summer, but I will likely buy a few more basics from Old Navy pretty soon. I especially love their tank tops!
I hit up local thrift stores. I just got 2 pairs of maternity pants and 3 tops, all from Target, all brand new with tags, all for under $29. I also went to a WeeUsable consignment sale last week, and got 3 tops and a pajama set for $13 total.
I plan on going to yard sales soon, too. Especially development sales.
I think I might check out Kohls this weekend, never been to one before though. I called them and they do have a maternity section. Anyone have good/bad experiences with their maternity clothes ?
Other than that, I will be either ordering online from Old Navy, and hitting up the 3 racks each inside our Macys and Target.

Macys has almost all maternity at buy one get one half off and you can mix and match brands. Asos and thyme are ok but quality seems to vary. Loft has some stuff but it's too dressy for me. I bought a pair of jeans at the gap for $7 yesterday. Seems to be cheaper in the store than online ( if you have one close to you)
I ordered a caridgan from Pink Blush and the fabric was really cheap. I don't know that I will order from there again.
I have to wear red and black for work 5-6 times a week, so I don't normally need much for clothing, just extras of the same pants/shirt.
I have some things from Motherhood maternity from last time that are really cute and lasted through my pregnancy and my friend's, and are back to me again. Kohls has some, but I dislike the games Kohl's plays with customers, so I don't usually shop there. Target, Old Navy, and JCP have some, but the selections aren't as good in store and I am not super fond of shopping online. There is a maternity consignment store that I want to visit, though.
@mander82 If you have a Destination Maternity or some kind of maternity clothing store around you, you may try that first since you will be traveling out of the way. You will get the best selection that way. I first hit up Target, Old Navy, etc but was frustrated at the limited selection (and I live in a large suburb). I had the most luck at Destination Maternity. They carry Motherhood Maternity brand which runs $25-35 for most items. Last weekend they had a buy 3 get one free sale.
OLD NAVY! I have bought almost everything maternity related - maxi skirts, maternity jeans, tops....@ Old Navy & I love them. I've bought a couple pieces @ Pea in the Pod, but only the stuff on sale! LOL!
I am super cheap esp when it comes to stuff that I'll only wear a few months. With #1 I was the biggest in the winter so I bought 2 pairs of maternity jeans and some Old Navy and Target tank tops to wear under sweaters. I was able to wear normal sweaters the entire time so it was sufficient.
This time I will be pregnant all summer and I 'bumped out' super early so I got some cotton roll up khakis from walmart.com (each pair about $14) and they're awesome. I also just bought a pair of mat shorts from Target and I noticed that they have some pretty cheap tanks in cute patterns so I'll be going back.
I will most likely get some mat shirts from walmart.com later on. They are sooo cheap, $8-15. Right now I'm hiding in regular floaty tops since we haven't told anyone yet.
I got 2 large boxes of mat. clothes and another medium sized bag for around $185 total off craigslist. Entire wardrobe = complete! And BRAND NAMES - tons of Gap jeans and Pea in the Pod shirts. I just found people who put pics up to see if it was my style and size. I *love* the clothes I got - all I need now is a bathing suit and some dresses and I'm done. Everything I needed came in the boxes/bags!
