Is it weird that my Dr. Doesn't do growth scans? He said IV had a heathly pregnancy and he doesn't see the need to. But I know a ton of women who have had healthy pregnancy and the doctor gave them an estimate on baby. Im not really worried about how big or small my baby is but I was more worried about him being turned the wrong way. The doctor said he was head down weeks ago but he felt by hand? How is that possible? This seems odd to me and I feel like I should be asking more questions... Yah? Nah? I guess I'm just starting to over analyze cus it's getting so close.
Re: Is it weird?
My OB squeezes the lumpy ends. One is the butt, one is the head. So far, all he's done is squeeze but in order to confirm which end is which, he will probably give one end a wiggle and see how baby responds. I have heard of midwives doing the same thing. Whole body response = butt (because the baby can't move his/her butt without moving everything else). Isolated response = head.
Unless there's an emergency or real need for it no more U/S. Which is fine and makes sense to me.

My last ultrasound was at 20 weeks. The dr has told me the baby is head down for weeks now, also. She just felt by hand and that's all we need to know.
