LO is an ardent sleep-fighter for risk of missing something interesting going on - so on his worst days (mostly daycare days) he'll go 5 or 6 hours straight. At home, it's much different, but can still be up to 5 hours.
Naps? What are those?? B often goes from the time he wakes up until the time he goes to bed! Sometimes, we can get an hour or so in the morning, or a little (15 minute or so) cat nap- but generally, the kid is awake 8+ hours at a time.
5+ here, we have a crazy nap fighter. Also he has never once fallen asleep on his own during the day unless its in his carseat and that rarely happens. He would stay up all day if I didn't nurse/rock and pat the bottom to get him to nap. :-/
Can stay awake and should stay awake are two different things. Mine can stay awake more than 5 hours, but he shouldn't because he turns into a horrible grumpy pants. I try not to let him go longer than 3 hours. He's a happier baby when I make him nap,
I said 3-3.5, but it really varies day to day. It's never less than 3 hrs, but since she wakes up at 6, she's always ready for a nap by 9:30. Her naps don't last longer than 25-30 min so up by 10 ish means a second nap usually happens around 1. Bedtime isn't until 6:30-7 and it's hit or miss if she'll take a third nap, so afternoons could be more like 5-5.5 hrs
Wakes up between 6:30 and 7, naps at around 10 am for less than an hour, naps again at around 3 or 4 pm for an hour and a half, goes to sleep around 8:30 or 9 pm.
I need to stop responding to posts like this. LO clearly took my answer of 2.5-3 hours as a personal challenge and suddenly is going 4-5 hours between sleep. He's just a miserable monster for the last 2 hours before he goes to sleep. Awesome.
