I know making your own baby food is less expensive and healthier, but if I'm being honest, I can barely drag my ass out of bed each day for work, let alone cook dinner. So I'm pretty sure I'll be doing jarred food instead of homemade purees. Anyone else? What brands are you planning to use? Should I know about anything other than Gerber?
Re: S/O Jar food
I'll make the majority of our baby food at home. I understand it seems like just one more thing to do when we are all so short on free time, but I can manage to do it in a short amount of time on the weekends when I'm doing other work in the kitchen.
I have yet to start shopping around for baby food, but I am leaning toward Gerber. If I can find a cheaper brand without a bunch of extra stuff in it I will go for that.
I am in the same boat with wondering how I would find the time to make my own food.
With DD we used Gerber. We used the glass jars and the plastic tubs.
Since they're in ice cube trays, just thaw the number if cubes you're going to be using within the next day or two.
