Weight Loss Ladies!

How is everyone doing? What new things are you up to these days? Challenges? Successes?

I was doing so well, down 21 pounds out of my 28.6, then BAM! I can not get below this weight. I'm at a healthy weight, so I'm switching gears and working on body fat % going forward. I still want my butt and thighs to shrink. I'm at 26.5% according to my scale. I started some strength exercises last week and boy I could barely move for 2 days! Once I can get through this first video without feeling like vomiting, I'll start adding weights, hopefully in a couple weeks.

Let's hear it :)

Re: Weight Loss Ladies!

  • Can I join? I'll be 6 weeks pp Thursday and should be cleared to exercise at appt.

I have 40 pounds that I'd like to lose and am setting a mini goal of 20 pounds by the end of summer. The 40 pounds would put me at my ideal weight that I haven't been at since before I got married.

I am starting this week with tracking my food on my fitness pal. Also trying to eat all foods under 10 net carbs. I've had great success with this before. I need to be careful though as I don't want to hurt my supply by cutting back too much. I look forward to adding exercise after Thursday.

  • I've decided that I'm only going to weigh myself once a month when my trainer does my measurements, so I don't know if I've lost any, but a friend of mine that I don't see often told me yesterday that I look thinner, so yay! My trainer kicked my ass last week...she gave me the hardest workout I've had yet. I could barely finish it. I've been slacking on my water intake, though, and it's starting to affect my energy level, so I need to work on ramping that back up.
  • I signed up for ww on Friday. I am down five pounds from my highest pregnancy weight. I had hoped to have lost more but I'm an emotional eater and I know that with everything I have been eating just to eat. So I'm on simple start which they added after I got pregnant so I've never done it before.

  • Can I join!? I just had my baby so I am in no rush to loss of tank my supply. Down sixteen lbs since having the baby but that is the baby and placenta weight.

  • Is anyone using the My Fitness Pal app? I just downloaded it today.

    Just sent you a request!
  • I started WW again last week. I still had weight to lose from being pregnant and them so. I go back to work next week and was panicky about my clothes fitting me again. I lost 4 pounds last week. This week (or tonight) starts Passover--so I will be cutting out all breads/grains for the next 8 days anyway--I am hoping that will also help. :)

  • I've been MIA on MFP- but ran all weekend and ate well- just drank a lot.

seeing small changes- old pants and bras are fitting, tummy is getting toned, and overall feeling good about food choices and workouts.

keep up the good work ladies! :)
  • Scales are my nemesis, just because they seem so wildly inconsistent. Is it really possible for my weight to fluctuate 4 pounds in a day? WTF? I need a new scale. Anyway, I had an insurance physical today, so I got independent scale verification that I've lost about 7 pounds in about a month. I'm happy about that, but I haven't made it to the gym in several days and need to get back in the routine.

  • I am doing awful.  I really don't know what my issue is.  I have to lose 10 lbs to be in awesome shape (as far as my goals are concerned) but that's not going to happen if I keep eating easter candy like nobody's business.
Chocolate is my problem. I try to work it into my calories for the day, but it's so hard not to go overboard.

This weekend I sucked (AF so lots of carbs) but I have been doing okay.  Trying to get beyond this plateau.  Still at 21 lbs total lost and I wanted to be down a total of 30 by June so I am running out of time.  Hoping to get back on track this week.  Now that the weather is nicer I have been able to walk outside so at least my physical activity has been up.
We must be twins. I'm in about the same position. AF brought on the chocolate cravings. I have been so frustrated by lack of weight loss. Last Thursday, I started a new plan. Hopefully it works and I can look decent at the pool this summer.

  • I was sick last week and lost 4 pounds. I was feeling better this weekend and ate a few things I shouldn't. I'm still down 3.
I didn't mean to love it that you were sick! I was loving the weight loss. Oops.

I still have quite a lot of weight to lose (25 pounds is my goal). My body fat is down 1.2%, so I know I'm at least doing something right even though the scale doesn't always reflect it. The past two weeks I have been in the routine of a 45 minute walk in the morning with the dog and DD, then 15 minutes on the treadmill. We do another 20 or so minute walk before DH comes home. My alcohol/sweets intake is really what's hurting me. Gotta get some self-control again!!
  • I'm down 9 since we started the check-in in January and a total of 39 since July! 5 lbs have come off in the past 3 weeks since the weather got nice and I was able to start running regularly again (under 45* at running time and I can't run because of lung issues). I have 14 to go until I'm at a healthy BMI, hoping to be 5-10 lbs below that so I have room to indulge sometimes. I'm logging diligently on MFP and using the app when I'm out.

I switched to full fat yogurt and increased nuts and coconut oil in cooking and found that kept me satisfied better and led to lower calorie count overall, so I'm sticking with a slightly higher fat diet (I used to try to have half my allowable fat on mfp left over each day, now I'm allowing myself the entire mfp allotment).

  • Hi ladies,
Everyone is really doing amazingly well, I'm so happy for all of your weight/fat loss. WOW!!!

I've been focusing on eliminating sugar, gluten, and alcohol for the last two months and it's going really well. I need to commit to daily workouts/yoga/weight training to actually lose this weight. I have about 30lbs to lose, give or take 5lbs. I struggle most with WHEN to workout because I can't find the ideal time of day.
