Ok, that's it

I seriously need to kick my own ass into losing this weight.  It's not a ton but when you add the little bit I gained after getting married and the little bit I kept on after Aiden and what I have left from Quinn, I'm not happy.  I know this isn't the official WW check in but humor me.  What are you ladies eating?  Care to share a menu (and how many points you get a day?)

I bought a dance workout game for our Wii and have DH put the Wii in our bedroom because it's our biggest open space.  Now I have to actually do it :-/

  • I started eating lowfat vegan Jan 30 and have lost over 13 lbs with no exercise. If I had time to exercise I can only imagine how much more.

  • I second the Lose It app. Also, the couch 2 5k app. I try to sweat everyday. I'm on week 4 and still going strong.

O and I just added no eating after 7 PM

  • Second the sweating everyday! A walk at lunch is a great idea. I just try and eat whole foods, and drink a ton of water. Try not to deny yourself things though, or else you could end up eating all the things! Life isn't worth living if you don't allow yourself a small treat once and awhile.

Not to make excuses because they're great ideas but DH doesn't even walk in the door until 7:10 most nights so that's when we eat then get the kids ready for bed so all the working out I can do is something that happens in my house :-/

I eat an egg beater omelette with a ton of veggies and a small amount of cheese every day for breakfast.  Lunch I have to be better about and bring it with me.  Dinner I need to watch the carbs but most of all, it's what I eat after dinner that kills me.  But I'm also only 4'11 so my daily caloric allowance is so stinking low that I really DO have to cut all all enjoyable things to lose weight.  It blows.

  • I'm getting a Fitbit Flex bracelet for my birthday this week- can't wait! I've also been taking the stairs at work.
  • Yeah I don't do fad diets but WW has worked for me in the past.  But even at my most dedicated, the most I ever can lose in a month is 4 pounds and that happened once.  I usually can only lose 2 :(

  • I use myfitnesspal to count calories. I'm short also so to lose weight I don't get very many calories. But when you input it an input exercise time, which increases your allotment, it makes you pay attention and motivates you to exercise so that you can eat more.

Don't cut everything yummy out. Right now I only get 1250-1300 net calories a day and I still manage to treat myself a little - even if it is just a glass of wine or one Oreo.

I've been doing p90x3. It's a bit intense but 30 min/day works for me. I do it right after Ns bedtime and don't let myself relax until it's done - and relaxing is so much better after working out hard! I've also done Jillian Michaels workouts which are great! Don't stress yourself out - try to be committed but accept that you will miss some days.

Oh and my typical day is - coffee an either a small bowl of cereal or oatmeal (I had to measure it once to see what an actual serving is - it's probably less than you think). Sun butter and jelly sandwich for lunch. A fruit (typically banana) for afternoon snack. Dinner varies a lot but I try to cook as much as possible - I don't ever cook with butter and most of the ingredients are healthy. I also have to hold back on bread at dinner, that's where I can go overboard if I let myself. And then I treat myself after I work out - wine or a cookie or something else.

    Good luck!

  • I've been using this type of diet and like it so far. It's hard to start out with but its easier.
