Game of Thrones *spoilers*

I think I am still in a little bit of shock, I can't quite believe that Joffrey is actually dead!  At the end of the show I looked over to DH and was like "He's coming back, it can't be that easy."  To which he replied, "He looked pretty dead."  I'm so glad that mofo is out of here, but at the same time, I was a little unsatisfied with the way he died.  I wanted more pain and torture.  He didn't deserve such a quick death!  I'm interested to see who poisoned him, anyone have any theories?  Overall, good episode and I'm excited for next week!

    So happy he's dead! DH and I hit rewind a few times to watch and see if we could figure out what happened (haven't read the books). We think it was the cake that was poisoned, only Joffrey is shown eating it. At first I thought he killed the doves inside with his sword, but what if those doves ate the cake and were poisoned?? Hmm... Also disappointed though with poison, not a painful death at all.

    I really want to read the books, I have them all, but then I get so wrapped up in the show and they are so good at the surprise twists that I don't want to ruin it.  I actually said as the wedding was starting, "Can we make it through a wedding with no one dying?"  Apparently not!

    Bees, go ahead and read them, pretty much from this point on I guess they won't follow very closely, too many timelines have gotten messed up. The next big thing, at least IMO won't happen until the end of book 7, book 8 isn't due until next year ( I think)
