A treat for DH

Our little family is traveling to El Paso in a week and a half (we live in SC) for a friend's wedding and I'm a bridesmaid. I just got a day-of schedule that is complete with hair styling, getting ready at the brides house, pictures, Mass, pictures at a destination in town, then reception.

DH is great with our baby and I completely trust him with her all day while I'm doing destination pictures and during Mass, etc. I know he'll most likely spend most of the getting ready and picture time in the hotel with her. Baby has been in meltdown-mode most of today and I'm just thinking of what it'll be like for him with her alone away from home for the majority of a day and I'm feeling so grateful that he's willing to do that so I can be there for my friend like she was for me when we married last year. I'm thinking I'd like to leave him with something fun/sweet/thoughtful to give him that morning to let him know how much I appreciate him doing this for me (and to hopefully make him have a positive attitude for the day! He can very easily get frustrated and while he wouldn't just drop her off to me, I can just see him saying "oh we can't come to the Mass or reception; she's been crying" or "ok now that we ate dinner we have to go put her to bed at the hotel.")

Anyone have any travel-friendly ideas of something appreciative I could leave with him for the day?

  • I had the flu this weekend and DH seriously picked up the slack, so I am bumping this thread. @Gilmore09‌ I love the idea of lotto scratch offs, never thought of that!

  • (Although it's crass, I'm actually not kidding.)
  • I'm with @peanutmuse a bj goes a long way with a guy.
  • Ha! That would definitely help with the positive outlook for the day, @peanutmuse!
  • A blow job?
When I read the the title of this thread, before I even opened it up, that's what I thought this was gonna be about.
