Hey Ladies,
Just wanted to give yall a heads up. DH and I went to buy our crib and changing table this weekend. We live outside of DC so I didn't think we would have to worry about finding furninture in stock. Well, we picked a few sets that we liked and most of the stores did not carry them in store. They have the model so I assumed they would stock the item, not so! The average delivery time that we were quoted was 12-14 weeks. I am 33 weeks pregnant, I don't have that kind of time left. We ended up finding a decent set but if you are looking for anything other than the standard 2 cribs that everyone seems to carry you might want to get a head start.
Oh, and make sure you bring a van or SUV to pick up your crib! I don't know why I thought the boxes would be a little smaller.
Re: Just an FYI re Cribs
This is great advice. Even though BRU told us it would take 2 weeks for our crib and dresser to come it, it actually took 7.
Oh... and the boxes wouldn't even fit in our SUV. We had to run over to Enterprise and rent a pick-up truck.
We ordered ours from babycenterstore.com and got it in 2 weeks!
ETA: But I just went to their site and it looks like they're closing down their online store on January 6th. That's sad because they had REALLY good deals!
