Hi ladies! When did they diagnose you with pre-e? I'm overweight (technically obese, size 16, 5'4, 208lbs pre-pregnancy) and have had high blood pressure for 6 months before pregnancy (148/101). They keep talking theoretically about pre-e and putting me on hypertension medication, but so far haven't actually done anything. Any thoughts? Should I be pushing the issue more with them?
Re: High blood pressure since before pregnancy, not yet pre-e?
I was not put on blood pressure medication, but then my diastolic blood pressure was never over 90; that was the level at which my doctor said he would prescribe medication. I had extra monitoring (three ultrasounds after the anatomy scan) to check baby's growth and amniotic fluid levels. I was induced at 39w3d and had a successful and quick vaginal delivery.
