Success after IF

AW: 35/35

Oh my goodness y'all, I cannot believe I am 35 weeks pregnant, with 35 days to go!  In a way, I am so ready for this baby to get here and to be done being pregnant.  But in a way, I'm so not ready!  The nursery isn't ready, I'm not ready to have 2u2, and I don't feel like we have spent enough time as our family of 3.
Thanks for all of your support throughout this pregnancy.  This one has been harder than the last, not sure why.  But I'm so lucky to have you all!

  • So exciting! Can't wait for your LO to arrive. I totally know what you mean about this pregnancy being harder than the last. But I guarantee that all these feelings of apprehension and unpreparedness will wash away as soon as you see her sweet face! Just remember, when she's born all she really needs is a loving family and a functioning boob ;) So don't stress about the nursery! Hang in there mama

@mofree I'm less worried about the complications of an early birth.  But I still keep thinking she's going to show up earlier than we are prepared.  I swear, she feels like she's trying to claw her way out today.  She's SO LOW.  And quite aggressive.

Good to "see" you @IBackBevo‌! How you feeling? Is your bp staying stable so far? My to do list might not be ready for this baby to come, but my body is!

I am pretty good. Next week is my last week at work until after baby and I am soooo ready to be done for awhile.  My BP has stayed below high (although has risen a little), but isn't technically high so no pre-e! And I have also been having some minor problems with my blood sugar.  I passed the GD test but at 32 weeks, I had high amniotic fluid so they had me start testing my sugars (a possible cause is unregulated GD) and they were running high.  But basically so long as I avoid refined sugar (i.e. sweets) and super high carb items like pastas, it stays okay.

I am also going to try for a vbac.  I am going to a Dr. Dryden at TCH who is known to be one of the top vbac docs in Houston.  I really want it to work because I don't want to have to recover from another C-section.

    How are you doing?

  • That's great @ibackbevo!  Sounds like you are doing pretty well.  I mean, it's no fun to avoid pasta or candy... but it's wonderful that your bp is staying low and you are going to be able to try for a vbac.

I'm doing pretty good.  I'm exhausted, and my pelvis is killing me, and LO punches my bladder and my sciatic nerve frequently these days, so I'm always at risk of peeing my pants or getting dead-legged.  Haha.  But really, nothing significant to complain about.

I'm so glad you're doing well!  And so jealous that you're already almost off work!  What is your actual due date?  I'm 5/15, but hope I deliver at 39 weeks again.  I'm putting my money on Mother's Day.
