I realized it as well as I was getting ready for my IUI. I know I am technically still In the 2ww & have about a <5% chance to slide in but At the moment I feel like the horse that broke its leg before crossing the finish line.

Yeah, I'm already out for 2014 EDD as it stands. If I were to get pregnant this cycle (and that's a huge if...) my EDD would be 1/1/15.

( I'll be that much closer to 30...and that is not where I wanted to be having kids...

Yeah, I realized this too

If this is our cycle, our EDD would be the first week of January. I thought I'd have a 2013 baby. Then it was, we'll definitely have a 2014 baby...nope, not anymore.

Definitely already had this realization. I grieved it a little the other day, but a friend of mine helped cheer me up. (((HUGS)))

I have a friend that had asked me how things were going with us (right after I realized I wouldn't have a 2014 baby). I told her what the doctor had said, and I was upset that I wouldn't have a 2014 baby. Her comment was that you'll have a 2014 baby...he/she just won't be born in 2014. NO NO NO...that's not having a 2014 baby...that's having a 2015 baby! I responded with yeah, I guess.

I will turn 30 in 2015 and back when I was young and cluesless, I thought I'd have had all my babies before 30. Ha.

Stupid Fertility Friend giving me stupid expected due dates and letting me get my hopes up. I'm not out yet (only 4 dpo), but I have zero optimism.

Wwwwaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh I'm moping around with that thought too.

Doesn't help that AF has not showed and I NEED her to! Starting first IUI cycle, and I want to squeeze it in before our family vacation at the end of the month. I'm OK with leaving a day or two late for the trip.. So I better start at some point today.

Such a Debbie today.

Apparently we had the same young and clueless beliefs. I knew for SURE I would be done having kids by 30. I didn't want to be an "old" parent like my parents were.

I'm also 4DPO with zero optimism.

We're almost like twins...but totally not.

I realized that the chance to have a 2014 baby was gone myself. It was definitely discouraging so I feel everyone's pain on that. But like people pointed out, that means your baby probably won't be a Dec baby (my brother was and he hates it haha)! And I'm choosing to believe and have faith now that I will definitely have a 2015 baby now. Whether it's through an IUI cycle or eventually IVF. Trying to stay positive and hoping my spirit stays that way for the most part through this journey!

That's wonderful. It's great to have friends like that.

I'm not down about having a 2014 baby or having a baby before I turn 30. I had to come to grips with those possibilities beginning of this year. What upset me the most was having to get to the point of testing and medical help.

I like your thinking, Calindi! What was more difficult for me was realizing back in February that DH will be at least 40 by the time we have our first child. It made me think about being grandparents and if our kids get married and have kids later too...that thought is too depressing to finish.

Yup, if I get a BFP this cycle (break cycle, yeah right) my EDD would be 12/26. I also realized that DH and I will both be at least 32 by the time we have a baby, we started trying when we were both 28. ::sigh::

I'm with @calindi. And, not that I care one way or the other, but as far as TB goes, I want a BMB that isn't common LOL (Not Jan/Jun/Jul or Mar/May or Apr/Aug) so I'm kinda hoping for an F15 baby (especially because it would mean I would find out for Father's day and I could tell DH by saying it's his first father's day). Not that I'm thinking too much about it...*feels like a freak*

On the bright side, this keeps me from being too down in the dumps about not getting my D14 baby.

My 2014 goal was to get pregnant so I still have 8 months or so! Hopefully 2015 will be a big year for babies for us

I agree about the whole December thing, especially since my due date would have been right before Christmas! And I have so many late December/early Jan birthdays already!

If we get a BFP this cycle, I'd be 35 when I give birth -- with an EDD of 1/15/14.

I was not planning on AMA being a sad fact of life. Or, you know, on this damn IF thing.

Ugh I know I am in the TWW and if I was to get a BFP then my EDD would be 12/31. I just hit 30 sunday I was hoping already be done having kids by 30 here I am... here we all are (end Debbie rant)

The hardest part for me through all this is how it seems like time just drags when you're going through IF. I'm turning 30 in June and like others, when I was young and naive totally thought I'd be a mom by now. Trying to stay positive and realize this is something I do not have control over - also like another poster, I just hate that I'm in this position seeking help, I never thought it's where I would be.

I know it will happen for all of us, just unfortunately not on the timeline we all would have liked.

I was thinking of that on the drive into work this morning... no Christmas baby for us. Oh well, unless an act of God happens I am ok with not having a December baby, lol. I would like someone to share my January birthday with though!

I keep trying to feel okay about not having a 2014 baby by thinking ill at least be pregnant at Christmastime.. And reallly hopefully by my BIL's wedding in September. Here's hoping. It is so hard to pass so many Christmases without a baby!!
