Femara-OPK Question

Ok so today is Day 8 of my Femara cycle and I am confused as I am still having a light spotting. I decided to go ahead and start OPK testing just to be safe and low and behold I have an almost positive test. I am confused because it is only CD 8. I think a true positive may come some time tomorrow but isn't this super early? Is this common? Should I be worried? False Positive maybe? I am also temping and temps starting dropping low yesterday for me. I have not began examining CM because I am still spotting from my period.

That OPK looks very close to + to me, in fact often that is the strongest OPK+ I get to indicate O if I happen to miss the exact surge when testing.

My RE said to expect earlier O on meds than I have without them.

If this is a TI cycle, it would be smart to BD! ***PREGNANCY MENTIONED*** My good friend got pregnant from sex on CD 5 during her period (DH traveled after that), it can certain happen!

If you are using meds in an IUI cycle, I would ask to go in for monitoring to make sure you don't miss O. Good luck!

It looks almost positive to me, maybe tomorrow will be a strong positive. I have actually had a surge on a natural cycle on CD9 and had confirmed O by ultrasound on CD11. It can happen early and be completely normal. Sometimes your follicles just mature quickly. I would definitely give your RE a call, they may want to do an US or labs today.

OK NOW I am really freaking out. Please look at the attached picture. I came home from work and took another Wondfo and decided to take a Digital as well. BOTH blaring positive now.

To sum of my story fairly quickly. I have been TTC for 10 months. I haven't returned ovulation since removing IUD Mirena. Doctors did an initial overall blood panel back in October, had border line Insulin so went on Metformin. Still no ovulation in March so had Cycle Day 3 testing. Everything came back normal. DH had SA, game back normal. I had HSG came back normal. OBGYN (yes I am still going to my OBGYN and not an FE yet) decided to try three rounds of Letrozole 5mg a day with TI unmonitored. If I did not get a positive surge on the first round we were going to go monitored.

Here I am CD 8 and you can see the picture below. I am going to start getting busy ASAP just in case but I didn't know if anyone has had experience with this medication. I am trying not to get my hopes up but I can't help it as I have NEVER seen a positive.

I did place a call to my doctor and waiting on a returned phone call to see what they say.

Doctors nurse just called me back. She was surprised to see me have a surge so early but did say it could be possible. They instructed me to BD every other day over the next week. Keep testing and keep and eye on my temps. If my temps rise in the next 48 hours then it very well was an actual surge. If I surge again over the next week then it was a false positive. My husband and I decided to stick with my OBGYN through 1-2 cycles of Ovulation Induction and depending on the outcomes we would move over to a fertility specialist. I am over the moon right now as I haven't seen a positive OPK ever but trying very hard not to get my hopes up.
