AW/rant/rave: Last week at my appointment I found out that baby girl is blocking the tubes from my kidneys to my bladder - which explains the tenderness in my side. (Except it only hurts one one side and both are blocked). No infection but one could easily develop (bladder or kidney-or kidney stones) and my MW is referring me to a kidney specialist. I'm not really sure what he is going to do if I don't have an infection except look at my kidneys again and say, yup, their swollen! Anyway, they also can't get me in till the 22nd which is almost 3 weeks after my appt with my MW when I found this out! It's either an emergency or it's not people, no need for added stress or bills... Anyway, it definitely only hurts when she moves and pushes against it, yup, painful on an inflamed kidney.
Whew! That was a rant!!!
QOTW: I don't think there is anything out of the ordinary that I'm bringing. Clothes for me and baby, toiletries, one of those awesome back massagers and a head massager... We are packing some snacks to keep my energy up (and dh's) and one of those is honey sticks which was recommended by my doula. Is that out of the ordinary? I think it's genious!
GTKY: Not sure I have a favorite band, I'm kind of a mutt of music loving. :-)
AW/Rant/Rave: Was admitted to L&D Friday to check on what I thought might have been amniotic fluid. Turns out it's just baby pushing on my bladder and letting out urine. I should have taken my kegal exercises more seriously. Fuck!
QOTW: I'm bringing the workbooks from my childbirth and childcare classes because I'm fairly certain all of the exhaustion and excitement will cause me to have amnesia.
GTKY: Favorite band changes depending on my mood.
AW/Rant/Rave: I had a really great dinner with my family for my grandpa's birthday last night. He is really excited about the baby and apparently checks my registry daily to make sure we have what we need. If he sees something he thinks we need, he sends my mom to pick it up from BBB.
My rant is that my GI issues are back and I was vomiting all last night. Boo.
QOTW: Anything out of the ordinary your bringing in you hospital bag? Or suggestions for FTMs for a must have? I am bringing my own nightgown to wear during labor and delivery. DH is a medic and told me they reuse hospital gowns, which skeeves me out.
GTKY: favorite band? I don't know that I have a favorite band, but I like Mumford and Sons, Justin Timberlake, and Jason Mraz.

AW/rants/raves: today is my first day of maternity leave! I'm lying in bed while DH is getting ready for work. It's awesome. He keeps saying "maybe she'll come today" and I want to punch him. Mama needs some down time before bebe gets here! I'm really struggling now though, so I'm glad there's no work. Baby feels like she's gonna fall out when I walk and being comfortable is a thing of the past. Oh and baby has caught up a little. She's now only 1 wk behind instead of 2!
QOTW: nothing out of the ordinary, but I'm getting DH some haribo candy to keep his spirits up.
GTKY: Pearl Jam. I'm a bit of a grunge nerd. However it's summer now and in the summer I get hot for the Lemonheads. Evan Dando - ohmygod.

AW/Rant/Rave: still itching like crazing, should be getting my blood results back for the cholestasis testing tomorrow. May be looking at induction in 2 weeks! (Holy shit!)
