Chrysanthemum :)

I bet you all thought I was considering this name, didn't you. :)

I got this book from the library for DD this week, and I just knew you ladies would love it.The whole book is about a little mouse named Chrysanthemum who loves her name, but is teased at school because her name isn't "normal" like the rest of the mouse kids.  Such a sweet book,especially for kids who have names that aren't like Henry, Olivia, Sophia and Benjamin.

    I used this book in a therapy session with siblings. They didn't make fun of each other's names, but they were often insulting each other (and classmates/neighbors/friends). They were also bullied. It definitely has a great lesson on empathy, kindness, and celebrating individuality.

    I love this book. It will definitely be on the shelf if we have a baby girl this time around! I grew up with this book and and think it's adorable!
