YAY! Tips for DH...
don't be a man an push through the pain. Stay off your feet! Kristennd - make sure he seriously stays off his feet. My DH was not too bright and didn't rest enough, which led him to be sore for a lot longer than he should have been.
Oh my DH will milk this for all it's worth in terms of lounging on the couch and having me fetch him things...
But that's a good reminder for me to not get annoyed and tell him to do it himself already.
Please pardon my nosiness - but may I ask what made you decide this form of birth control (as opposed to an IUD)? I have one now and will be looking at all my options in a few years. Thanks!

It's permanent and doesn't have side effects or ongoing maintenance.
He's doing well physically but the procedure was upsetting. He wasn't as numb as he'd have liked to have been. Only mild pain but the sensation of things inside being moved around and unraveled was really freaky.
Lots of rest, frozen peas are your friend, watch some tv and relax. That's about it. Really resting is so important. I have hearddd some bad side effects from guys who have not followed this advice.
Re: It's almost official
