Dreams about labor

Last night I had an actual dream about labor and delivery. It was incredibly realistic and if I hadn't woken up, would have thought I had actually had my baby. Maybe it's the anxiety of being a FTM, but as delivery gets closer, is anyone else dreaming about this?

    I had one last night! I couldn't tell you what it was about now but it was very vivid after I woke up! I'm a ftm too and I think it's just all the reading I've been doing that's getting to me... :-) as long as they're good dreams I don't mind.

    I bet your right about all the reading, I'm sure that's what triggered it! But I agree, as long as they're good I don't mind either! :)

    I have been having them too! I've had two outrageously realistic dreams about delivering him..everything from the moment labor begins to holding him for the first time. I mean realistic as in I woke up and I felt like I had experienced it not necessarily what happened in the dream :P I'm also a FTM mom, and think it's from all the reading I'm doing to try and prepare. :)

    I've had a few but I had another last night. She just slipped out nicely at 8lbs and everything was perfect. I think that's why it was a dream.

    12/17/13 - 20wks 2 d - We're having a beautiful baby girl! Go Team Pink!

    05/03/14 - Bobbie Gloria was born at 39+6 weighing 6lb 14oz!

    I had one (in which I went into labor at work at 37 weeks). I think It's just because it's almost time and we're thinking about it more often.

    I haven't had dreams about labor and delivery, but dreams about this baby in general. Of whether it's a boy or girl. The dreams are your subconscious telling you you're getting anxious, nervous, excited about this process as time gets closer. I'm a FTM and since I've never experienced labor and delivery I don't know what to dream about it, except the end result when baby is here.

    I had the craziest dream. I'm having a boy but in the dream I had a little girl. I had the baby at home, blacked out and didn't remember anything about the labor. She came out with teeth and could talk!

    The one i had last night was similar. I could ask her if she wanted to be held by certain people and she'd nod or shake her head and give me a thumbs up or thumbs down. That would be pretty useful if they could actually do that.   8-|

    I have at least one a week and I'm not a FTM! I think it's just the reality setting in, the axniety and nerves, the excitement, all rolled into one.

    This is my 3rd LO and will be another c/s. I didn't get to go into labor at all with my first two (DD's induction turned into an emergency an hour after cervidil and I had to be put to sleep with a breathing tube and then DS was a rcs). Anyhow - I am so hopeful about going into labor on my own that I now dream about it every. single. night!! I am constantly dreaming about my water breaking - but then I immediately wake up to pee. I'm sure it's my subconscious telling me I am about to pee the bed ;)

    I had one the other night where I woke up in the hospital and had apparently given birth. I had no idea what day it was or even when I actually delivered! Everyone else had already had a chance to hold him and post pictures online while I had still not even met him. My mom was there and she kept telling me that I was awake during the entire L&D and wasn't sure why I didn't remember any of it. It was super scary!

    I had one last night, too! My dream was the nurses kept getting mad at me because I kept leaving my room to walk the hallways and walk up and down a flight of stairs.

    It was very realistic except for the fact I had to walk through an arcade at one point to get back to my room.
