For another little one? Or are you pregnant already? My DH and I want to have a big family (maybe 5) and we aren't getting any younger either (35 next month). We have a 28 month old and an 11 week old. Just wondering if anyone else was in the same boat or if u have experiences to share. I really want another but I'm feeling nervous about too many little ones and not spending enough time with each of them as they grow. I don't want to be selfish either cuz I loved being pregnant. Thanks in advance! I'm a lurker but looking to be more active so please don't judge!!

I don't think anyone will judge. The board is slow, any topic is welcomed lately.

My husband and I just had the conversation tonight, since my first pp period seems to be winding down. We're going to NTNP (not try, not prevent) for a while. Probably a year or so. We had such a hard road to get pregnant in the first place and I am 36 -- so although it would definitely be difficult to have another one soon, we don't want to wait too long.

I'm 36 now and as I'm not getting any younger we're not going to try and prevent it though we're not actually trying at the present moment. DS is our first and we'd really like for him to have a sibling. I go back to work in 9 days (tear!) so it'll be interesting how my "work/life balance" will be.

We are not trying; I'm on BC again to prevent. However, I actually wouldn't mind if I were to get pregnant again. Maybe we will try for another again in a year or two. We haven't officially decided if we are giving it another go but I think I am leaning toward yes.

We are waiting until after my birthday next year, it's the big 30 and I would like to be able to drink that day, afterwards though we will be actively trying!

We are going to try right away. It took us two years to get pregnant with DS, so we don't want to waste time. No sign of a PP period so far though, and not a lot iof ST happening right now. We are both exhausted, and ST is the least of out priorities.

I've always wanted a big family but due to health issues, we are trying to decide if we should try for a second one or not. If we do, it will likely be when DD is around 2.

We know we definitely want one more (at least, dh wants 2 more) but we are are aiming for ttc next year after our 10 year anniversary in February. I am ebf but not on bc. We are using condoms but are honestly not super careful. It would not break our hearts if we got pg a little sooner than we plan.

DH and I were just talking about this the other day. Honestly, the only thing keeping me from trying again is my weight. I still have 20 lbs to lose to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight (which honestly, is still a bit high for me so I'd like to lose more).

Physically, for me, being pregnant wasn't that bad. Emotionally, I turned into a monster lol. I don't know how my husband put up with all my bitching and attitude. Labor was also pretty tolerable so I would have no issues.

I'll might regret these words later, but right now, 2 under 2 doesn't seem like it would be the worst idea for us. After all, I already am an insomniac with the baby I have now. Bring on another newborn! lol

BTW, @peanutmuse, I love your siggy. So cute!

I'm on the fence about a third. If we go for it, I don't think it will be until this LO is closer to 3. (3 under 3 or close to it- especially if I end up with 3 boys- would be more than I could handle!)

I'm 30 and got pregnant both times quickly so we have time to decide.

We are two and done. We were on the fence for 3 until I delivered this LO. I emotionally and physically can't do it again. I have anxiety and nightmares when I think about this delivery to the point to where I just start crying when I think about it.

I'm open to adopting if we eventually decide we want another LO, but right now we are very happy and totally in love with our 2 kiddos.

We are done. I'm happy with two! I would of been happy with one, we tried for 3 years before getting pregnant with Julianna. The month we decided to stop trying (last year) we found out I was pregnant. It worked out in such a way, we think it was meant to be.

My ob told me to avoid getting pregnant for at least a year because of having a preemie. I don't know if my body or mind could handle another one for a while even though I loved being pregnant. We're looking to wait at least 2 years

I think that we only want two and we are still pretty young so we've got some time. We probably won't start trying until DD is about 2.

I'm back on BC because we want our LO's to be about two years apart. I have to say though, I have been thinking about our next one. I keep thinking I hope it's a girl.

otherwise, hope to wait a few years but not too long. Abby took three years (and fertility treatments) so I don't want to wait too long to try. Dh won't discuss it right now until we are atleast STTN.

Welp. We were ntnp and I was assuming based on how long it took to get pregnant with LO (15 months with one mc), and based on how sporadically we dtd (3 times in last four weeks since my period), that it would take a while.

Sore boobs this morning that I tried to brush off as PMS, but thought I may as poas so I can enjoy the week I am about to spend in New Orleans without worrying about it.

Pregnant. Fuck. FUCK. Yay?

I would be okay with another pregnancy anytime. DH agrees do we are ntnp. Although if I didn't know any better I'd say DH is trying...that or trying to get as much ST in as possible before it happens and I lose interest again. Haha

I am having so many mixed emotions right now. I can't NOT be happy, I always did want two kids and I knew they'd be pretty close together because I didn't want to wait due to my age (35 in September).

But I am freaking OUT. I was thinking if I got pregnant about 6 months from now that it would be okay. They'd be close together, but not too bad. But two kids in one calendar year!???

At least we hit our out of pocket maximum for the year with the first kid?

I'm getting Nexplanon inserted soon [I should probably call my OB again to make sure that I can get it], so no babies around here for a little while. H says he doesn't want any more, but I want one more in a couple of years...so I'm hoping that once we're settled in one place and Mia is a little older, H will be game for one more baby. I'm 28, so I feel like I have some time...but I'm more worried about the age difference between JJ and any other siblings he has after Mia [they're already 5 years apart].

I suppose we are NTNP because I refuse to take the pill (long icky history) and we make game time decisions about condoms/pull&pray. I want a little space in between each kiddo but DH wants 'em back to back to back (to back, to back...etc. Crazy man), so we're leaving it up to the powers that be for now!

We are NTNP. I want another one so it can be two and that's it. I want them to get pregnant before my 30s, because it's harder on your body the older you are, I think. I'm 29 now. Later on in the year, we will start actively trying. I think I would be pretty happy being pregnant again.

No, I am definitely not ready for another! I want to soak up this time with DD for a while, and then I'd like to take a break from pregnancy and breastfeeding to have my body to myself for a few months before trying to get pregnant again (I hope to continue BFing until at least 12 months if we can).

We want 2 or 3 total, but plan to wait til DD is at least 1 before we start discussing baby number 2. We'll probably try for our next baby next spring or summer.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience - good for you for knowing your limits and taking care of your emotional/mental health as well as your physical health!

my husband isn't sure if he wants more because he says he's so happy with these two but if we decide to it will be when the twins are around 1.5. Right now we're basically just using the pull out method so if I was to get pregnant we would just go with it but the chances are low because I'm EBF and it took meds for me to get pregnant last time anyway.

DH and I both turn 35 in jan/feb. So I don't want to wait to long but would like to enjoy this summer and especially next without breastfeeding/pumping and getting a break from being tied down. Also not worrying about morning sickness being tired etc. I am on the mini pill now and would go off by the end of August next year. So DH and will be 36 with baby #2 and babies would be a little over 2 years apart.
