Low supply and fenugreek?

Anyone having issues with low milk supply? I had a low supply with my first son and tried to use fenugreek but I think it was too little too late by the time I started with him. This time around I am ahead of the game and have been to lactation and started fenugreek a few days ago. Does this really work for anyone? Any other tricks to increase supply? I've tried pumping after a few feedings a day and I really get nothing but drops. I don't know how long I can keep up the pumping after feedings. I just want to feed my baby and know he got enough! Frustrating!!!

I tried Fenugreek w/ my first and it seemed to help a little. Try lots of water and some Guinness

It's helped me a ton? Are you following the directions on the bottle for the dose? There is a different dose you can take that really helps.

You can take up to 3 pills 3 times a day. You know it's working when you smell like syrup!

I second the oatmeal advice. But it can't be those packets of instant oatmeal. I love the old fashion style oats. I add real butter, cinnamon, a little brown sugar and a bit of sea salt.

You can also look up lactation cookie recipes. I don't have any personal experience with them.

I am taking 3 pills 3x a day. How long before noticing a difference? And do you take it until you stop breast feeding?

I started taking the Goat's Rue pills too...and also the lactation cookies (https://www.milkin-cookies.com/shop).I started the Goat's Rue pills the first week after I had my LO. Started the cookies 3 days ago (a friend swore by them so I got the 2 week supply. They are quite delicious too)

I used to get like 1/5oz and now I can usually get 1oz minimum at each pump. A great pump is 2oz. I still feel like I should be getting more though, my LO is 17days old. I am still having to often mix formula with my breastmilk though...she gets 2-2.5oz at each feeding, every 3 hrs.

Struggling with it too I am hardly getting anything. LO is 1 week today. We are working with LC from our hospital I am hoping to get a dr appointment they said to get a prescription for a GI that really effects supply. I am also taking a breastfeeding tinqushire (sp?) a holistic place (Obriens pharmacy) here makes. I think it is helping some I just started it on Thursday and they said give it a week to a week and a half. It is so frustrating my LO is a wonderful nurser - we just need milk!!!
