How early did your baby come?

My muicuse plug has started to come out a lot and I'm not sure how early the baby will come. I'm due May 15 but I feel like I will go sooner.

Now from what I understand there is a mucus plug, and then there is the bloody show. Just a mucus plug doesn't symbolize the onset of labor, and like many women have stated it can grow back. Bloody show however is different... If you lose the plug and it is streaked with blood or has a pink or brown tint then labor usually starts within 12 to 24 hours later. Hope that helps.

This. I never lost mine (that I noticed) with DS2, even I after my water broke. With DD it came out a few hours before I delivered. You just never know. This time I'm already dilated and effaced and haven't seen any bit of it.

The mucous plug coming out doesn't really mean anything.

I agree with PP. Losing your mucous plug means nothing. When I had DS (7.5 weeks early), I lost my plug while in labor after my water broke.

DD was a week late and only came then because I was induced. DS was a day early. Did not lose my plug either time, at least nothing noticeable.

Been wondering because mine keeps coming out and wasn't sure if anyone else had it come out as early as me and had their baby a few weeks early. I haven't had my baby yet but I keep feeling like he will come early.

Mine came out around 34-35 weeks with DS and it was about 3-4 weeks later.

My OB specifically said it wasn't even worth mentioning to them if I list my MP because it means basically nothing. They are regenerative anyway.

I guess I'm the odd ball here...but my mucus plug fell out when I was 36wks at 11am one day. My DD was born 12hrs later.

Likely a coincidence. With DD mine came out within the week of her birth but I don't really consider losing my MP part of the process.

Mucus plug came out Super Bowl Sunday (41w2dish) and I didn't have DS until two days later (41w4dish) and was induced. I think part of my mucus plug came out a couple of weeks earlier but it wasn't nearly as gnarly as the one on that Sunday--must have regenerated.

I must have lost mine in the hospital because I had my DD at 37 weeks 2 days and I had no signs other than contractions or anything else prior to labor.

Mine came out with DS and had him two days later at 37 weeks. DD was the same day and was at 35 weeks. I lost mine with this one Thursday, dialated to 4, still no baby. I don't really think that matters too much.

There really isn't any way to tell how fast labor will come. With my first pregnancy, I was dilated to a 5, 100% effaced and at -2 station for two weeks prior to actually having my son. Darn kid got my hopes up! haha

I was looking for this to be a clicky poll with the kind of laugh where you have to stop for air and then go on laughing as my option of choice. Not sure if I lost the plug at any point, and my son was born ten days past his due date. (It seems really unfair that if you do lose your plug, you can grow a new one and then lose that one too. As if one isn't ick enough?)
