I went in for my doctor's appt on Thursday and was already dialated. I was scheduled to be induced on Tuesday. The doc said since my Bp was a bit high we should just go ahead and induce then. We went home and got our stuff and headed to the hospital about 11 am. I was about 4 cm. My doc came and broke my water after lunch and started pitocin. Contractions didn't want to start so they continually increased the pitocin. I was not thrilled about the pitocin bc I was not wanting an epi and I had heard how much worse contractions were on it. I didn't make much progress, but wasn't in awful pain. Finally the contractions picked up. I lost complete track of time. I guess around midnight my doctor came in and said that I wasn't getting passed 9 cm and she thought an epi may help to relax me and get me to 10. I was about to the point where I didn't care about the epi. Then she mentioned a csection if I didn't progress. I had Been wanting to push for an hour and I just couldn't hold back any more. I told her I was pushing and I couldn't stop. At exactly 3 am on April 11 Anderson made his way into the word vaginally without an epidural. While I don't remember the majority of the night due to the pain, I am so glad I didn't cave on the epi. Meet my sweet angel, Anderson Ira. 6 lbs 8 oz. 21 inches long
