Pp baths

I'm DYING to have a bubble bath. When is it ok to do so post partum? I see my doc this week and plan on asking then.

    My OB is old school and said no baths until my 6wk pp checkup, but the nurses at the hospital said that's a very conservative recommendation.

    BFP: 7/5/10   EDD: 3/13/11  Miscarriage 8/1/10 at 8 weeks

    BFP: 10/30/10   EDD: 7/7/11   Born 7/11//11 7lb12oz, 20 in.

    BFP: 7/30/13  EDD: 4/9/14 Born right on time on his due date! 8lb10oz, 21.5 in.

    ^^this. Risk of infection from the water since all your lady stuff is open from the birthing business. Plus, has your bleeding slowed down enough to make a bath attractive? I'm not there yet.

    I was told to take two baths a day as hot as I could take it to help with my stitches last time. If your tub is clean go for it.

    my doc actually recommended hot baths.  Just not with bubbles and stuff.  She said it was no different than a sitz bath.

    You can take a bath but no soaps or bubbles til 6 weeks or check up

    Yes, it's between spotting and nil now. Not quite enough for me to actually do anything right now, but maybe in a week or so, who knows. I figured 6 weeks was likely the recommendation, as it is with everything.
