40 weeks, pressure and tightness?

Today is my official due date, and I've been feeling a lot of pressure and tightness in my lower abdomen.  Nothing regular though and nothing painful, just uncomfortable.  It's happened before but it seems to be lasting longer today.  Is this the beginning of labor or am I just getting excited over nothing?

    It could be anything. Pressure is pretty normal, especially at 40 weeks. And trust me, when it's the real deal, you'll know.

    for me, the beginning was just the slightest feeling of a period cramp, not painful, but you (barely remember?? ;) ) the feeling of period achiness, well it was that type of cramp & I had no sure idea it was the start of labor until it became painful. good luck! I'm afraid it's just you wishing/hoping, but I sure hope this is your start! went late with my first & it's really hard!

    I know how you feel. Every time I get the slightest "new" pain/pressure I am hoping it is the start. Sitting here with ya!!! I know it won't be long for either of us now.

    The wait is antagonizing!  I'm just a ball of nervous energy and I'm running out of things to clean!
