Gold Star for DH

I haven't sent him out even once so far for random cravings. I NEEDED Death by Chocolate ice cream after dinner tonight and so I asked him if he wanted to make a run (thinking we would just go get a cone and I would have to get out of my pj's). He put jeans back on and ran out to get me a whole carton and even brought it out to me in the living room. I knew I picked a good one when I married him!

  • I am eating death by chocolate right now! Last 2 weeks I have had to keep a carton on hand.
  • Gold star to DH for every time I get low BP and I can just lay useless on the couch waiting for it to go away. He takes care of the dishes if needs to and makes sure I am fine. And doesn't let me drive more than a 2-3 miles distance alone because he is afraid I get low BP while I am driving!

Gold star(s) for DH who took the last 2 days off to do stuff around the house and get the last baby things done. Did all the yard work, then he got the car seat bases installed and the stroller put together and showed me how to use it all. (Loving my G3 Orbit travel system BTW). He also managed to install seat belts in FIL's MG without sacrificing my honey-do list, and now he's finishing up some house things that need to be done before my parents come. And he's coming with me to my facial, wax, brow appointment in the valley tomorrow because OB doesn't want me driving far alone at this point. I said he could go to Fry's (electronics) during which is nearby because he deserves a trip to the candy store!
  • Gold star to DH for being a trooper while I deal with prodromal labor and super slow early labor. He spent hours yesterday rubbing a tennis ball across my back and doing everything he could to ease the every-five-minute contractions while we wait for my cervix to get the message that it's time for baby. He's also been keeping up with housework (which he would have never done a year ago!!!) and making sure my cravings are satisfied. Sweet seeet man.

Gold star to my husband for everything. He amazes me with his patience and all the little things he does to make this easier on me especially with nursing. He stays up all night with our girl so I can nap between feedings. She cries all night and he just keeps trying new and creative ways to soothe her. He has never and will never complain, he knows it's just what you do. Sounds like we're all pretty damn lucky to have such wonderful partners!

    This, pretty much verbatim! <3

  • Gold start for DH, he is taking all of his weekend days to help fix the disaster of a nursery while he has a ton of HW to do. He also still rubs my feet at the end of the day even though he has been doing the back breaking reno.

  • Gold Star to DH who cleaned up the house before he went to bed last night. I woke up stressed because I've been having lots of contractions, and it is starting to sink in that we really have no idea when this little one will show up, which made me stressed about bringing the baby home to a mess. I went into the family room ready to clean to find that it was already all picked up and beautiful.

And gold star to him to being a good "coach" with all the practice contractions last night that were surprisingly painful. He reminded me to try some different positions and was eager and willing to rub my back and get me water when I needed it.

Makes me feel so lucky to have such a considerate DH :)

  • I'm on board with gold star to DH for everything. He's always been a patient care taker and has been that even more so in the past 9 months. I've had zero complaints and I know he's going to be amazing with a baby on his arm.
  • Mine gets a good star for totally taking over today when I noticed some clots. I've only gotten off the couch to brush my teeth, meanwhile he's chasing our toddler, bringing me the baby when she's hungry, keeping me hydrated, and making a valiant attempt at keeping the house picked up.
